Quick Question About Heating And Care
« on: December 02, 2013, 10:36:51 AM »
I just bought a ZXY.  I have had fleshlights in the past and used a small electric heating pad to heat the fleshlight before use.  Can I use a heating pad to heat up the ZXY before use or will this damage the ZXY?

Also, I see that I can use corn starch to make the ZXY get back to its original feel.  Do I just buy the regular corn starch you buy for cooking in the grocery stores?

Thank you.

Yes, buy the corn starch from your local supermarket. I do not recommend the heating pad since a Meiki is very thick and the heat will not reach the inside (for a sufficient time anyways).

not sure about Onaholes though....since there is no exit hole like on fleshlights

Onas dont work as well because theres much more thermal mass. All that squishy rubber retains the cold which fights whatever warm you can somehow introduce.

A quick warm rinse can knock the chill off the inside and your natural body heat will warm it very pleasantly. Trying to get the "dick coming in from the cold" feeling is tricky, troublesome, and short lived. I did all sorts of crazy things but ultimately realized adjusting in between my ears was the best way to go.

I can never plan ahead  :-[, but if you can how about this: Ona in dishpan of very warm (not hot) water for extended time, say 30 min.
Over time the heat has to transfer into the ona. 3-4 gallons of water -- unlike air -- also has a lot of thermal mass. Maybe replace water from the hot tap at some point.
Advantage, once the ona is warm it stays so for reason you state.  Yes?

For me personally, warming the meiki before use really adds the missing element to the experience.  As others stated it can be tricky to do because of the closed end design, but I think I have it figured out so I'll share what I do with you guys.

First off, I bought a 1 gal. bucket with a 6" internal diameter on the bottom from my local hardware store.  The actual capacity isn't that important but the internal diameter being at or around 6" allows the meiki to be pushed down to the bottom of the bucket with the meiki length keeping it pinned there.

Fill the bucket with hot water and let the meiki soak.  As long as you can keep your hand in the water for a while it shouldn't be too hot for the meiki to handle, but hotter the better.

Leave it soaking for 10-15 minutes, any longer and it will start to cool.  For me it's just enough time to start the porn and get myself good and ready.  Shake it out and dry the outside.  Insert some lotion and it's ready to go.

If I'm feeling lazy I'll just wet the inside of the meiki and insert a couple of fingers to get it a little warmer.  A cold meiki kind of kills the illusion for me now. :-[

Excellent advice as always SB. I will add I've done similar and use a protein canister with the lid screwed on tight. That allows you more time in the soak (and for the Meiki to take up heat) as theres less exposed to cold surface air.

Also fun, wrap a towel around the vessel for insulation. Noticeable difference.

Sonic hit the nail on the head. While, yes, youll get more conduction than say a space heater (air) you're figting a losing battle against heat loss in the water. Capping it or insulation helps a lot. Also, the less surface area that is exposed to cold air, they better off you are (narrow opening or capped is best)

That's some good ideas, I'll give those a try.

I've noticed that you've been making a lot of great posts, giving good advice.  Big props to you!  Sharing knowledge is what makes this forum pretty cool 8)

For those that are lazy, there is also a warming lube in the TD store that is rated 5/5 TD rating. Might be something to consider as well.
