Cleaning Extreme Hip toy
« on: July 16, 2009, 10:45:09 AM »
Just wondering what the best method for cleaning the etreme hip would be as i dont want to destroy such a costly product? Is soup and water out of the question or what about alcohol diluted with water? I know water is the safest bet but i would also like to know how to dry it, does twisting a long piece of paper towel up in a spiral work and how would i go about air drying as the holes look to tight for air to really circulate through, maybe use a hair dryer?

Thanks

Beef stew or Clam chowder soup?  hehehe just messing with you man. This is definitely the place for these kind of things. I just wish that those who have bought the extreme hip so far can give us some insight on how they have cleaned the product. As I search everywhere and said before, most of the japanese product only has instruction that says. rinse and air dry (as if all japanese ppl who bought the toys knows exactly what to do with these...or....maybe they do know exactly what to do.. hmmm :-\).. I dont have a meiki hip yet..but i'd imagine if i bought one.. i would probably sinse it with water and just leave it upside down for a couple days so the water leaks out..and let it air dry maybe..

I"ve tried leaving my fleshlight to air dry after rinsing (didnt use paper towel method) and it took forever to -somewhat- dry and began to have the "wet sponge" smell T_T, i imagine thats not very hygenic since i dont want to stick my private in something thats full of bacteria (thats what causes the wet sponge smell). I hope someone from toydemon can help out.

Here are a very basic set of instructions for cleaning non through onaholes. The use of toy cleaner isn't necessary but something you might want if you are afraid of possible bacteria growing. Just spray the some of the cleaner inside after you wash it. Drain the excess and make dry by air drying or rolling some paper napkins into the hole.

Cleaning Your Toy (non-through hole system)
*additional application of mild antibacterial liquid hand soap
before rinsing can ease the cleaning process

Gently open the entrance up and rinse out with warm water and using your finger to scrub all areas until clean

Spray with Toy Cleaner and wipe dry or wipe excess water away and allowed to be air dried

An optional dusting of baby powder before storage will keep the material in top condition

Always store in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight.

If i don't have paper napkins can i use a thin piece of paper towel rolled into a spiral to wipe/absorb the access water?

Paper towel works also, we say paper napkin because you can usually get a stack of those at your local fast food joint for free.

I came here to share a few ideas I've gathered from other forums.

There's one idea that someone had, which is to use a douche/enema kit to flush warm semi-soapy water into the Hip. That's a pretty good idea as far as cleaning it out, but he didn't really give any insight on drying it out. Drying the Hip has GOT to be ultra important, more so than other toys because of the "zero diameter" of the tunnels. It's all pressed together inside, there's no airflow inside.

Another guy had this idea:

  • First squeeze out all lube and "gunk"
  • Turn the sink on (warm, full pressure)
  • Then put the first three or four fingers of each hand inside the hole and open it up (this won't rip the toy because it is very flexible)
  • You should be able to see the bottom
  • Let the warm water run inside
  • Take all fingers out (be careful because doing it too fast will make the water gush on you as the toy returns to its original shape)
  • Finger the toy with the water inside
  • Drain by squeezing water out
  • Put the corner of a DRY wash cloth in your teeth
  • Open the toy up again
  • Lower the dry wash cloth into the toy (all the way to the back)
  • Use one finger (if needed) to stuff the cloth in the back
  • Take fingers out, leaving cloth inside
  • Squeeze toy a few times to allow cloth to absorb excess water
  • Slowly pull cloth out (don't worry this won't damage the toy)

Sounds pretty solid. I wonder (maybe ToyDemon can comment) what kind of material the Hip is made out of? What if the cloth isn't lint-free, is that a problem at all? Is mild hand soap okay to use on the Hip?

So, anyone have any other ideas? What about special clothes (like Shamwow) that supposedly absorb water really really well? Please share your ideas here.

OK.. then soap is not safe to use on the Hip, I'm pretty sure. You can use soap on the TENGA Flip Hole, but I don't think that's silicone (it can't be, otherwise they wouldn't tell you to use soap, right?)

Mild hand soap (pretty much any hand soap, like Soft Soap, stuff in a pump). They just mean mild hand soap as opposed to harsh cleaners (stuff you wouldn't use on your hands & face).

When u say mild hand soap, what kind of soap is that? I use dial anti bacterial hand soap (the gold kind)

I've been looking at this and i'm a little confused at the part where it says, "Cleaning your Toy (non-through hole system)" and talks about using antibacterial hand soap, however I dont understand if that means that I *can* use it through the whole or I *can't*. That section isnt clear because after the "cleaning your toy" part it goes on to say open your toy up (guessing that mean open the vaginal and anal canals up) and rinse with water, so Toydemon would yoy mind clearing up if using antibacterial liquid hand soap is ok?
