while the North American (and probably European) porn industries begin investing into HD technology (not many), over at the East, hentai are being filmed (or animated) in widescreen resolution at 720x480, meaning the interest in HD technology is spreading faster than I anticipated. Only problem is the art and censorship law hasn't changed to comply with the good technology.

that could be easier said then done. not to say that there won't be such a possibility, but it won't be for another 2 to 3 years especially since they just finished implementing the new resolution (its not easy to suddenly change the drawing canvas). getting the software (and possible hardware) alone can set some companies back, which will discourage them from any further investment.

let's not forget that its not a simple "oh, click the 'export to 3D movie' button" like we all hope. also the money spent to make standard HD and THEN 3D HD will definitely make companies think twice.
