I noticed TD has recently picked up NPG's Omotenashi Mewiki with two different designs.  They look interesting, however, TD rates the 01 as 3/5 and 02 as 4/5.

Can TD or someone enlighten me as to what these ratings mean?  Obviously, it's just an opinion and someone else may like one or both, better or worse.  Is the rating based on appearance, quality, enjoyment, durability, or something else?

I wonder if these are the new lines that NPG is starting up since they have not had a new meiki sleeve in the original series for a long time now..I'm sure there's not much difference in the material of these compared to the long running series, I would consider these the latest meiki girls? with a new name of course haha. I'm liking the one with the inner band design. very interesting looking

That one with the bands looks like it will be a disaster for durability. I can't see humping away on that and the bands not breaking after a few issues. I am also skeptical that having bands in the middle of the sleeve can be all that pleasurable since I'd think for me at least it would cause too much rubbing up on my pee hole and make it way too sensitive after a short while.

The web design at the entrance for both sleeves looks like something that will rip within a couple uses as well unless one has a pencil dick. What is the obsession with all these companies making things near the entrance so small? Stuff like that doesn't add to tightness if it just rips after a use or two.

I get the feeling this is going to be a giant failure. I'm already not a big fan of NPG given their durability and shoddy construction issues that many of the Meiki toys have despite their premium price and this new line isn't improving my view of them.

I have the same concern about the 02 version.  NPG doesn't exactly have the best reputation for durability.  My ZXY holds up well, but Sarah and YJY have had tearing issues, though the feeling hasn't been impacted, just the appearance.

My guess though is that the bands on the 02 will tear after a few uses and the webbing in both will be gone after in short order as well.  I'm not sure premium price justifies the low durability.  If the description says they were made to compete with Julia+, the quality should match in all areas.  About a year later, my Julia+ is still going strong.

I guess NPG really need to step up their game... now that they have like a bunch of the meiki series sleeves which are great but with lacking durability, at least that's the consensus of the community... it's just a shame they can't come up with something more innovative. I still like the band design even though I have yet to try it out..but my guess is that their target group are still asia so for the generally well endowed users...it's just not going to work.

Our ratings combines our thoughts and hands-on review of the item in terms of many categories and sub categories. We look at what the material is made of, its durability, how it feels, outer appearance, visual appeal of the entrance, inner design, innovation, comparison to other sleeve from the same manufacturer, comparison to others on the market, some factors that may not be publicly known, cost vs what you get, outer size, inner size, its target audience, and more factors that are compiled and crunched into an average number score then converted to between 1-5 rounded to the nearest whole number.

We do revisit some items once in a while to review if we were too harsh or generous in certain areas. Most often changing some factors here and there won't change the rating of the item. Once in a blue moon an item will be bump up or down in our ratings after reexamination.

I have to admit that I had no idea your rating system was based on so many criteria.  I didn't think you drew a number out of a hat, but that is way more thorough than I would have thought.  Thanks for sharing that with us.
