Questions about cleaning and modifications to ZXY
« on: November 20, 2014, 01:18:34 PM »
I started off with a Fleshlight and other masturbators that had an opening at the back to have an easy rinse. I knew this would be a problem when I ordered the ZXY, but figured it was worth the hassle.

I read many reviews and one said that you should rinse it. I tried rinsing it, but the fact that it's a curvy, complex tunnel, it is difficult to clean the semen stuck deep inside.

I was wondering how you guys clean the ZXY effectively.

Also, what are your opinions about making a little hole in the back to be able to run the water through it effectively?

Welcome to the forum!

This is a common question from people new to closed-end onahos/meikis, especially when coming from Fleshlights.

At the very least, you need to thoroughly rinse out the onaho using running water.  It's easiest done from a sink, just run the water directly into the tunnel and flush everything out.  You can also use your fingers at the same time to get to every crevice and all the way to the back of the tunnel.

Many people also choose to use anti-bacterial soap, just do the above and wash out with soap after the initial rinse.  Make sure to rinse the soap out thoroughly using your fingers.  Mild soap is recommended here.

Turn the onaho upside down and shake out the excess water, then dry the outside.  Now the most important part is to dry the inside as well.  If moisture is left inside the tunnel with no way to dry out, mold and mildew can start to form.  I would think bacterial could grow also.

Some just turn it upside-down on a towel and let air dry.  Others carefully insert a cloth or paper towel to dry the insides.  Once dry, you can powder the outside to keep it realistic feeling, as it will become sticky if you don't.

Now some warnings.  IMO, you should never try to turn your meiki/onaho inside out for cleaning/drying.  I ruined an $80 meiki doing this and I will not make that mistake again.  Also be very careful and gentle while cleaning and drying, as the soft material these things are made of can be very fragile and easily torn.  If you do develop a tear, use a soldering iron to melt and round off the tear to keep it from spreading.  You can also mend a tear with a little practice.

Personally, I use soap 3/4 of the time and use a microfiber cloth to dry the insides.  I use TD's storage bags to store it when not in use.  I use powder only occasionally when the tackiness gets bad.  I hope this helps.

I've been cleaning with a small amount of iso alcohol after washing with water. I just pour in a small amount, move the meiki up and down for 30 seconds to spread it around, and dry out the remainder. So far, no mold or growth. It worked with fleshlights, so I thought it would work with meikis.

That's actually what I did with a few of my sleeves. I make a tiny hole into the end with a hot paper clip so that I can run the water through it.

For what sleeves and did it in any way affect the item?

I did it to Maria and a few older sleeves that I wouldn't mind if something went wrong. I close the hole back up when I use them with a rubber band around the sleeve. It's not 100% like it was before but I think it's a good compromise since cleaning is still easier than not having a hole. Next thing i'm trying is to shape the paper clip into a squiggly line and melt it into the end. Let it set then pull it out to see if makes a better seal.
