Any tips on how to warm up the interior of a meiki?
« on: January 18, 2014, 01:02:55 PM »
I just received the YJY from Toydemon and was wondering if anyone had some tips on how to warm it up before use.  I try warm water on other onaholes, but the interior usually stays cooler than the outside.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.  Thanks.

IMO, warming a meiki before use adds a great deal to the experience and combined with the texture of the tunnel and slipperiness of the lube can really make you forget you're using a toy, especially when placed in the MPD.

Here's how I've been doing it...

I bought a 1 gallon bucket with cover from the local hardware store with a 6 1/4" outside diameter at the bottom.  I fill it about 2/3rds with hot water.  If you can keep your hand in it, it won't hurt your meiki.  Use as hot water as your hand can take comfortably.

Wedge your meiki at the bottom of the bucket using friction.  If it's too short to wedge, place something small in with the meiki to get it to stay at the bottom.

Place included cover over the bucket and place a folded up bath towel on top to help insulate and keep the warmth inside the bucket.  Wait about 12-15 minutes.  Any longer and the water will start to cool.  This should get the meiki tunnel a little bit warmer than your junk.

I've been using this method for a long time and it hasn't damaged any of my meikis so far.  Enjoy.

Started a new thread with this info but just in case:

"Sounds odd but the key is a travel toothbrush container:

-Go buy one, preferably one that pulls apart at the middle as such (like almost all cheap ones do): http://www.vividpromotions.com.au/bath-and-beauty-products/dental-and-oral-care/travel-toothbrush-case-p-15454-76_85.html
-Insert half of it, rounded side first obviously, into the meiki using lube so you don't damage it
-Fill a cup with hot water and put meiki in it
-Place the cup under a running stream of hot water so the water fills the hole the toothbrush case is holding open
-Leave for 10-20 mins

The flowing hot water through the propped open hole is the trick. Plus, the toothbrush case transfers the heat very well through the ENTIRE length of the hole.

Try it and let me know how it works! It's an amazing trick."

I use the bucket method as well. It works especially well with my Meiki Cherry 2 and the Poco Pen Wonder Ring mini hips. You can just press the flat side of those down to the bottom of the bucket and they suction themselves to the bottom. About 10 mins in I stretch the openings apart a couple of times to allow warm water in again or it will be cooler than the outside. I also close up my bottle of lube real tight and throw it in the bucket as well. Works like a charm. Also a handy place to do some clean up when you are done.

Just thought I would give an update to this thread...

For the past year and a half I have been using the USB warmer sold on TD here: https://www.toydemon.com/usb-onahole-warmer

It has served me very well over this time, but I have to confess that I needed to make a modification to it due to the internal wiring getting disconnected, probably from pulling on the cord.

I used a high quality braided USB cable that no longer worked, but the USB connector was fine.  I cut off the micro USB end, discarded it, and soldered the USB side to the warming "grid" that comes in the warmer.  This mod made the warmer much more durable and I haven't had to fix it since.

Anyway, I place the warmer inside the meiki using lube and in 10-15 minutes it's nice and warm and ready for use.

NOTE: I have heard that some have experienced problems with this warmer melting their meiki's.  For the record, this has never happened to me, and I'm not sure what the difference is.
