Tenga Flip Hole White
« on: December 09, 2013, 11:52:19 PM »
For my second review I will be covering the Tenga Flip Hole White (I will refer to this toy as simply "Tenga White" from now on for simplicity).  The Tenga White is the first sex toy I used extensively; I recently retired my first one and bought a replacement during the Thanksgiving sale.  As before, I used the Maria Ozawa Love Potion for my review and my cock remains 5" erect/slim girth.

Appearance:

The Tenga White has a non-realistic exterior which can be a good or bad thing depending on your needs.  When closed for storage, it does not immediately scream "sex toy" to the uninformed like say, the Meiki Maria Ozawa which is a big plus if you need to be discreet.  The Tenga White features a two piece design; the hard plastic stand that also keeps the toy closed during use and the main unit itself.  The main unit is a combination of hard plastic on the outside and a gel-like interior that while soft, is definitely firmer than the material used in NPG Meikis.  The "flip" in the product name refers to the clamshell design of the main unit; both halves contain a totally different interior design which will be discussed further in the review.

As before, the first thing I did after unboxing was to insert the Tenga White into my Meiki Plush and take pictures.  I really jammed the Tenga up there as far as I could; this is necessary to cover all of the hard plastic exterior.  While it looks like a pretty good fit, I actually think the Tenga White is much better when used with your hands as you'll see below.

With Hands:

The Tenga White is most definitely a product designed for strokers.  First, the two "shells" of the clamshell have totally different interior designs.  This leads to many more possible sensations depending on how you hold/rotate the toy when compared to a symmetrical interior.  I listed this as an advantage for hands use mainly because my favorite orientation is to hold the Tenga White sideways (with the 3 buttons facing toward the ceiling and floor), and the Meiki Plush can only accommodate this toy when the buttons are facing toward the sides.

The big advantage to using the Tenga White with your hands are the three buttons themselves.  If you look at the product page, you'll see 3 plastic white circles on the exterior of each clamshell.  These are the 3 buttons I am talking about, and their use is not really explained in the English language instructions.  To start, if you press the matching buttons on either clamshell at the same time, you will make the toy that much tighter in that area.  Once you get the hang of it, you can use the pair of buttons of your choice to slide the toy up and down rather than actually stroke with your hand.

The main button you need to know about is the one in the middle, or what I call the suction button.  Not only can you do what I just described and add tightness or slide yourself, but you can also use the suction button to push air out of the unit to create a vacuum effect.  You can push the air out before insertion for an overall more snug experience (the Tenga White is decently tight naturally) or you can penetrate and push the air out afterward which feels like the whole thing is gripping your cock (in a good way, be careful not to squeeze too hard).  Combine this vacuum feature with the sensations provided via the other buttons, and this is a big reason why the Tenga White is a great toy for hands use.  The only negative is that these features, particularly the suction, can be quite noisy.

With Plush:

The Tenga White is not ideal for the Meiki Plush or hands-free use in general.  It fits ok inside the plush as you can tell from my pictures, but the hard plastic exterior really bothered me in certain positions (missionary).  The bigger disadvantage is that you can't access the 3 buttons when using the toy hands-free, so it becomes just another hole.  There is nothing wrong with this and it still feels good, but if I am going to use a toy inside the Meiki Plush I will choose something with a softer exterior that is comfortable in all positions.

Cleaning and Durability:

This review would not be complete if I didn't touch on maintenance, as this is an area where the Tenga White really shines.  Due to its clamshell design, the Tenga White is one of the easiest toys to clean on the market.  Just rinse it out, wash with antibacterial soap, rinse again, and let air dry on the included stand.  The whole process is less time consuming than cleaning a traditional closed hole toy and you don't have to worry nearly as much about missing some nook or cranny.

I feel qualified to comment on the durability of the Tenga White as this is my second one.  I can safely say it will last way more than the 50 recommended uses with proper cleaning and care.  The first thing to go is the suction unfortunately, as the seal will grow weaker with use.

Summary:

Overall the Tenga White is a fantastic product for strokers or individuals that need to be more discreet due to its non realistic exterior.  The varied interior and 3 button system provide many different sensations in one toy that, to my knowledge, would be tough to find in any other single (non Tenga) toy. The Tenga White is also very durable and extremely easy to clean.  The negatives are that it is not really made for hands-free use, and the buttons/suction features can be loud.

+Wide variety of sensations in one toy
+Easy to clean
+Durable
+3 lube samples in resealable bottles included with toy
-not designed for hands free use
-can be noisy

Liked for another solid review. Very glad to see someone touch on the cons w/using the M Plush sometimes (it betters almost all things just not everything)

Keep up the good work!

I have both the white and red flip holes and the meiki plush. I feel a flip hole is just fine to use in the plush and you can insert it so the buttons are vertical rather than horizontal in your picture. It doesn't go in as far as you have yours in the pic yet for me I like to have my sleeves stick out just a bit so I don't get any lube on the plush when I am thrusting to the hilt.

I feel the red is the best for the doll. It isn't as tight as the white so the added tightness using the doll (and even with a flip it is adding tightness since it limits the amount of expansion of the toy) makes it feel just right where the white to me can be a bit too tight. This is the same thing I notice a bit with the meiki zero diameter sleeves like the Maria when using the doll where they can be a bit too tight in the doll and it causes some of the texture detail to be lost since the material is just getting pushed up against your junk more than when it is used with your hand and it can naturally expand. I know this is true because I have used the Sarah, Maria and the Clone Meiki Hoshino in the doll and they all felt basically the same where when using them via hand they feel a good bit different.

Another benefit of the red vs white in the doll is the red has a more "realistic" (IMO since it is mainly ridges) type texture so it feels more realistic in the doll than the white. I used my red in my doll last night and it was great!

To each their own but max tightness is not a positive to me as it feels uncomfortable yet I see most who want their toys to be as tight as can be. I don't know if it is just a sensitivity thing (my head is quite sensitive) or a girth thing. I'm a bit above average in overall girth yet in width I am bigger than what my girth says I should be.

Solid review and thanks for posting it. The flip holes are great toys.

Great review~~ props for you! the flip hole white was the very first toy I got from TD years ago..it's definitely very good comparing to using just hands (psssst..anything is better than using just hands unless your pressed for time :P)

I still use the flip hole white from time to time depending on my mood of either realism or stimulation.. I have not used it with the meiki plush doll much since when I use toys with the doll..i'd like to imagine "REALISM~~" So mostly I use the MPD with sleeve toys with realistic interior tunnel vs toys with nub/ribbed interior.
