The Meiki 009 preorder special arrived in a brown cardboard box, from a "PDT Inc". Inside were foam peanuts surrounding the product and the 200ml lube bottle, and an order slip from Toydemon.

Here are pictures of the printed box front, back, sides, and on top. Sorry for the glare, I tried to soften the light as much as possible so you can see the details. The print is glossy and some parts with gold text are embossed. The high quality appearance looks authentic to me, but what do I know?

Notice that the top flap is sealed with a clear NPG label. The printed box is perforated like a Pocky snack box, but I would hate to open it in such a rough way, so I carefully cut the label and lifted the top flap.

Inside is a clear plastic box containing the sleeve, a 60ml lube bottle, and the double-sided poster. There is no instruction manual and no cleaning/maintenance/storage instructions either (which would have been helpful). The plastic box is slightly scuffed, and notice that the top and bottom flaps are sealed with the same clear NPG label.

The sleeve itself is sealed in a clear pouch, and its interior appears to be greased (maybe to prevent damage to the sleeve during shipping?) but as far as I can tell there appears to be no tampering or defect.

I hope this unboxing has been helpful to you. I will update this post with a review soon, but I fear it wouldn't be any good since my only point of reference for comparison is the STU, so I won't be able to answer questions like "is this better than Meiki 00X" etc.

If anyone can point me to a guide on cleaning and care, that would be awesome.

The oily residue is normal for all the TPE rubber toys. Just powder it with cornstarch and it will feel nice and soft. As for cleaning your new Meiki 009 after usage, I'd recommend just rinsing it out with lukewarm water and then using some small strips of microfiber towel stuffed inside to soak up the excess moisture. You can also use a drop or two of antibacterial liquid hand soap too. Whatever you do, DON'T turn it inside out or you risk tearing your new masturbator. When you have an opportunity, I'd love to see some more intimate pictures of the inside.
