Meiki Plush Trouble
« on: June 11, 2013, 10:10:56 AM »
I received my plush today but am hugely disappointed at how difficult it is to fit a Meiki inside of it. The wrap that comes with it just doesn't seem to be ideal. The only way I can get it in is by force, but even then the Meiki doesn't sit flush with the doll and looks like it's dangling out.

Anyone have any tips?

which meiki are you trying to fit into the doll...I know ones with butt cheeks looking front face will dangle fur the simple fact that it doesnt have flat face.. I usually use sleeves that has more of a flat face like ozawa or meiki down which fits well at the entrance. It does take some work to get the items in..if you cant do it with the wrap maybe try a plastic or zip lock bag..it'll slide in with ease...but be aware it'll also slide out with ease...so maybe try sliding it in and removing the plastic bag.. hopefully this helps 8)

Tried the Maria one first and then the Sarah, which was even more difficult. I might have to try your suggestion with the different wrap. Or splurge on the Meiki hip for hands-free...

That Meiki Plush really tied the room together.

Cling wrap. Like you cover food or bowls with.  Leave overhang for the bottom (it WILL cause sliding friction) and wrap twice around the size. Its thickness is in millimeters.

I can easily work in my fatty ZXY. IMO I even have some room to spare.

Plastic bags work in a pinch but not as elegant nor uniform solution (thickness, ziptops, all sorts of variations)

And yeah, the wrap that comes with it is mostly useless. Take it out of the equation.

I had trouble with the wrap, too. What works best for me is wrapping the onahole in a microfiber cloth. There's enough friction that it won't fall out or bend every which way when you try to put it in.

except it could slip out as easy as it slips in...but the tightening strings at the opening should do the trick  ;D  have fun bro.

Its a bit more nuanced than just using it HG. I rough up the part that wraps around the bottom (hence wrapping it around TWICE, it gives more layers to crinkle = more friction)

Wrap the body as it were smooth, when you go to twist up the bottom part, make it anything BUT smooth. Also, use the lower "rim" on a lot of Meikis (where the seams are bonded) as a perch for more crinkled wrap.

It sounds bizzaro but, once you get the hang of it, it works scariily well.  Other than really really small but back heavy Onas in forward cowgirl does it shift enough to be deemed a problem.

Everyone should spend a buck on store brand Cling Wrap and see for yourself. Even if it only works for some toys (doubtful but I dont have every toy in existence to know...  YET  :P ) with those toys it is THE best solution. I spent way too much time on it as a project. I learned more than any normal, sane person needs to on the subject EVER.   :P

Sleeves like the Sarah are too thick for that wrap. I remember when I first got both I used the wrap and it started to cut into the Sarah because of sleeve expansion when I was using it. Just as it is too tight for a sleeve like the Sarah, it is too loose for a sleeve like the Maria as it basically doesn't help to put that sleeve in the hole because of how loose it is. It's also useless for small sleeves like the Tenga 3Ds

I don't even use the wrap now and just jam the sleeves into the doll. It may take a bit longer than using something to help out yet nothing major and you don't have to worry about the sleeve sliding out any amount.

As for how the sleeves fit, the Maria to me can fit perfectly if you tinker with it...I have to get my hand in the hole and push the top of the sleeve in more to get it to line up. The Sarah doesn't because of the ass cheek design it has.

Yeah, there's like a huge dent in my Sarah sleeve now from the wrap.
