The Case of Returned Cobra Libre
« on: January 17, 2013, 02:19:53 PM »
Everyone has been asking for a 2nd case of "Fraud" or "Not" case so here it is:

It was a regular order that went out as usual. After the package was delivered, we received an email from the customer that he would like to return the Cobra Libre. We let them know that as per our return policy, we can only provide a refund after we get the product and make sure that it has never been opened.

A few days later we received the package back to us and we took pictures:

And compared it to the brand new Cobra Libres in our warehouse:

What do you guys think? There's an ending to this story but we would like to see what you guys think before we tell you what happens in the end.

Well it's kinda hard to tell I mean it looks like he was messing with it to try to open it. But there are many factors to this to me so far is 50/50 I don't like how he messed with the side b.c it tells you right away he tried to open it. Unless he wanted to open it but didn't I highly doubt that why would u buy something just to return it.( unless u didn't like the product which in this case u would have to use it) Maybe he did open it and just looked at it and didn't like it. But then he still opened it and its your policy if u open he can't return it so that would be his problem and no refund. Then another factor is you can feel the box compare it to a new one if someone opens it u can feel the difference and on the plastic to you don't have to open the new one just feel diff like when u try to open the new one u obviously cant u need to open the plastic and well its almost air tight so to speak. But of the one you guys got from the person that returned it if it feels how can i say tampered with it was more then likely tampered with. So from pics it does look like he tried to open it. But only you can tell from opening it im guessing you have so yea more info would help haha. As of now im 50/50 could be either way unless u can tell us what he said :) then we can tell u if he lied or not!  >:) i use to be a con lol xD and from what i can see I would say a con gone wrong bc he fucked up so yea I take that back Fraud he opened it I still want to hear the story he told you tho! dam long response sry was thinking while typing

Also when something like plastic has been open with tabs like that u can feel it by pushing like two ends together usually when something hasn't been open u can try to push the plastic together depending how thick it is when u push together if its been open it will create and opening so to say on either side doesn't have to be big but u can tell. Now when u try it with a new product that opening should not appear in any side. Hard to explain but yea.

Lol these posts are awesome! It makes me feel like I am a detective!

I looked at all the pictures closely and try to see if there are telling signs..........

Picture 1: Everything looks normal except for the excessive amount of lint and dust. Also, is that a slight watermark or just a piece of small plastic on the black area near the center line where black and red meets?

Picture 2: Everything looks normal there.

Picture 3: The clasp of the plastic obviously shows that it has been opened.

After much deliberation, I will go with "FRAUD"!!!!!

Policy states that if it is opened, then you can't return it. Who knows if he did in fact use it and just washed it very thoroughly and put it back...........again just the thought of it is.....ewwwwww.

As for yuuki.......you said you used to be a con, I sure hope so, especially if you're a customer of ToyDemon!!!! I do not want to purchase a toy that might have been conned by you.......please no!

Personally, I have done similar things, but never like this. I have bought stuff on Amazon that because I didn't read the descriptions closely, I bought the wrong thing. But when returning it to Amazon, I choose item not as described, so Amazon paid for my shipping charge back to them. I felt really guilty when I did that so I made sure to double check everything when I order. If it happens again in the future, I will just pay for the shipping back instead of trying to abuse the great system that Amazon has.

Online shopping, if everyone keeps abusing the return policy or what not, eventually they will take it away. So please do not ruin it for the rest of us good customers!

O boy...i see a couple of things here that looks suspecious...OH btw... THANK YOU TD for the long awaited 2nd episode ;D I sure hope you guys don't get too many of these stories in your lineup...it's just bad somebody among us loyal fans are trying to con you guy thus driving prices up >:(  but i'm glad you guys share these stories in light of the bad deeds you guys encounter.

so, from what I see in these pictures....the clamp case nipple tab thingy seems to be pressed in..this would be a good sign if you compared to picture 5..that the case was opened ...and when the dude put the item back in and closed it..he pressed on it to squeeze the tab back together..by doign that it left a mark of tamper

on that reason along i'd have to say "FRAUD!!!"

now back to the other thing daaaabears said...the water mark / cum mark thing on picture 1....i'd assume a new toy would not have that kind of dry liquid mark on it...yuck unless that mark was on the clamp casing which would disprove this evidence.

Not too sure what picture 2 and 4 are showing..but I want to hear the rest of the story!! omg this is like a cliff hanger lol ;D

Gosh...why would people do such things... DBAA!!!  (A new term I recently learned from watching Breaking Bad)

Isn't it put back into the box facing the wrong direction? Also it has been opened and resealed. The real question is did he use it or not.  :o or just look at it and put it back in the box? Only a forensic DNA test can tell haha.

taking a 2nd look at it...your right.. those instruction manual is not facing the same way as the unopened ones..unless the manufacturer packed it wrong 8)

We'll I think the ultimate questions is not whether it's used or not then put back...it's are you willing to purchase and receive this item and use it...even if it was claimed never used but just put back into the box haha.. I sure wouldn't..

nice catch captain awesome. I didn't notice the booklet was put back wrong. Eagle eyes you have!

I agree with Hardgay, whether he used it or not, is beside the point. The policy is that if it's opened you can't return it. It's for the sake of everyone buying from here, and also for TD. I am sure if you wipe down the Cobra Libre well, you won't be able to tell that it's used, unless you do some forensic thorough checking.

Gosh, just thinking about this kinda piss me off, aneros first and then this. Some people should just never buy anything.

Thanks  ;D, I really wasn't kidding when I talked about my Job doing security and the shopping ninjas. People always try to be slick but they most often miss that one tiny little detail that gets them caught.

Apparently ToyDemon has their own team of anti Ninjas (probably Pirates) that inspect their returned goodies.

While the packaging shows very little signs of tempering (perhaps the buyer opened it very carefully), I can't help but think one other thing.

What if, and this is a big what-if, the buyer has an existing version of this and just "bought" this to replace their old one. From the photos, it looks clean, but the buyer has more than sufficient time to thoroughly clean the product before making the switch.

I'm not ready to make a judgement call on this one, but I am slightly tipped towards not-fraud.

The old bait and switch..........that's really despicable. I will say it again, I can may tolerate it if you bought a DVD player and do a bait and switch....but personal sex toys. I hope they get caught for fraud and ended up getting arrested or something.

Which got me thinking on another thing.

If you were caught shoplifting, even say a candy bar. You can technically get arrested by the police and taken to the police station.

If you were frauding online shops let's say in this case, a Cobra Libre, which costs close to $150. Have all legit evidence, and report it to the police, what happens? Do they just say tough luck or will they actually do something about it?

Now you're cooking with gas! This is a real detective work we got here!

Nothing like the classic "Switcharoo".

That's some mighty fine Police work Thunderhead mighty fine Police work.

This coupled with the DNA sample Hardgay pointed out is enough to bring the suspect in for questioning.

Lets see how he feels when the ToyDemon Swat teams raids his house at 4:00am That will make him think twice about returning "well used" toys again.

For people like these..... TD should tell him "we're out of cobra libre, but we do have a Aneros Helix that we can replace to you" ...for those of you following the Fraud or Not...you know which Aneros i'm talking about...  ;) and vise versa to the Aneros con .....in the end..everyone might be satisfied with a *cough*New & Replaced*cough* item. ....ok i'm abit twisted...but just for laughs.. ;D

Hahaha  that's funny. You really have to have a lot of nerve to return a "sex toy" that you "used" of all things. For the most part  buying toys is a hit or miss no matter how many reviews it gets, everyone's experience is always different. The stuff I don't like I just chuck in the junk box and cut my losses like most of us do but these guys are pretty sad but it sure is entertaining hahaha!  ;D
