Hi and Happy New Year!

To say im new to the forum would be a lie as i have been a frequent reader for quite a long time now. I enjoy reading the forum and product reviews!

Now back to topic. I bought a new Maria Ozawa Meiki a few months ago. When i took it out of the box i noticed that it was made from a firmer and more "pig pink" looking material than my old Maria which i purchased back in June of 2011. When i had my first go with the new one i noticed that it was a lot tighter and yet less stimulating than my old Maria. Then it was time to turn it inside out for cleaning and i noticed that the inner canal looked completely different than the one of my old MO Meiki. I inspected both boxes side by side but couldnt find any differences, they look exactly the same. The new Maria also came with the standard Maria lube bottle and poster. I get the feeling that maybe somebody confused the product which was packaged in the original Maria box for a real Maria and put it into the box by accident! Has anyone else had a problem like this before? I`ll include pics so you guys see what im talking about.

 The new meiki is how it should look.

Your old one looks like it's just been beat to high hell and deteriorated.

Thanks Captain! But still the new one is made from a firmer more pink looking material and the interior of the old one looked like that when i first got it. Feeling wise the old one felt totally different when it was new compared to the feeling of the new one. I do believe they changed the interior design and overall material at some point.

looks like the same product.. old one looks super deteriorated..maybe just from normal use and abuse..and maybe the lube used. I read somewhere these toys are handmade so i'm assuming every batch could have minor discrepancy in color and maybe even firmness..depending on how the silicone was mixed i suppose. or maybe the manufacturer changed to a firmer material mix to try to fix the tearing problem from the delicate silicone...

Yeah i know. I used the old one almost every day for 1 1/2 years, thats why it is so deteriorated. Okay, seems like i got extremly lucky with the first one cause it felt just awesome before it, i dont know how, got so rough that its downright painful to use right now!! I can only say that the new one feels not near as good as the old one did in its heyday! Thanks for the welcome HG

Okay I just looked at the inside of my older MO, and it looked more like your new MO.  Therefore, I have to agree that your old version is worn out.  The good news is that the new toy will probably get better with use.  Enjoy!

Thats interesting! Really seems like you wont find 2 Meikis that are 100% alike!! Lets see if it will get better when used more! Initially i was shocked when i turned it inside out the first time and it looked nothing like my old MO

Looking at the pictures I'm shocked. I don't want to lecture you but those black dots are defenitely fungy stuff and the Meiki is therefore loooong overdue to be thrown out. I haven't used my Meiki that often and dont know if fungy is inevitable after some time but for health concerns please throw out your new Maria when its time has come.
