Cleaning and drying questions
« on: December 03, 2012, 02:53:59 PM »
Hello all

I am new to the forums, so sorry if I posted this in the wrong place.

I recently just got the Meiki Maria onahole. After going through a tori black fleshlight (worst thing ever) and a love shake real (awesome, but the smell was too strong)... and I love it

But when it comes to cleaning, I am a bit shaky. What would you guy suggest I do to clean it?

and my main question, drying it... Is it ok if I dry the outside then just put it back in storage (which is a metal box which I keep locked) I dont want to harm it

thanks in advance

Hey Holo, welcome to the forum.

In general, you want to wash the inside and outside of the meiki w/warm soapy water.  I use mild anti-bacterial hand soap for this.  Make sure to get your fingers in there and get in all the crevices and nooks.  Then just wash out w/water.  You can hold the meiki hole-up under the faucet and let the water run into the opening to make it easier.

For drying I've heard many different techniques used around here.  Some shake out the water and air-dry, some hang it upside-down, while others stuff a clothe or paper towel into the hole.  I've even heard some use tampons, though I find this a little overkill.

As for me, I stuff a microfiber clothe all the way in there as far as it will go and squeeze the meiki a little to absorb the excess moisture.  Then carefully pull the clothe out, go slow to prevent tearing.  Whichever method you choose the goal is to get all the moisture out to prevent mildew or mold from forming.

I hope this helps,
SB

I have forgotten to fully dry the inside before, only to notice the next day or so.  It won't ruin your meiki or anything, just make sure you wash with soap and dry correctly as soon as convenient and before the next use.  Make sure it's completely dry before putting away, especially if your putting it in a box or something.

If you're worried about mildew forming just take a whiff and see if your meiki smells a little sour.  Even if it does I would try washing it out thoroughly, then using an alcohol and water mix on the inside.   Then smell it again.  I have heard of meiki owners just letting their meiki's air dry, but I believe they leave it out on a towel upside down so the water can drain out.

I think you have to figure out for yourself what you're comfortable doing.  I know it's not the same thing, but would you have sex with a girl that never used soap down there?

It's always a risk to turn a meiki or onaho inside-out.  I tore my first Maria Ozawa doing that, I learned an expensive lesson that day.  Some onahos may be able to handle it, but the softer the material, the more likely to tear.

Considering how expensive these are and how well it works, I don't think it's too much trouble to treat it right.  Besides, you would have to jump through way more hoops if this was a real woman you were trying to keep happy. ;D

Also, it's really important to check your meiki's for tears.  It's pretty easy to fix and take care of if you catch it when it's small.  If you wait too long the tear will grow and soon your expensive meiki will become looser than the town bike!  There have been many posts on how to do this.  Just use a soldering iron to kind of melt and round-off the tear to keep it from spreading.

I have found a good way of both cleaning and drying my ono-holes is to use rubbing alcohol. This serves two purposes, first it cleans the toy out, second alcohol is a natural water dis-placer. So you can wash and rinse as usual, then pour the alcohol inside and empty it out. Then by turning the ono hole face down it will totally dry in just a few hours.
