Cobra Libre problem
« on: February 10, 2012, 05:50:56 AM »
I love the Cobra Libre, but unfortunately it started to malfunction.  I wrote the following email to FunFactory but got no response.  I bought the unit here, any suggestions please let me know.

I'm the owner of a couple of your products, in particular the Cobra Libre.  Fun Factory should receive some sort of award for this marvelous product.  Congratulations!!!

I've had the Cobra Libre for approximately two months (I bought this from a dealer).  Unfortunately, just recently when I turn the unit on, after about two minutes it turns off.  The only way to turn it back on again is to connect the charger and disconnect it, then it will turn back on, but only for about two minutes.

Could you please tell me how I may render this marvelous product to work properly again.

It's somewhat disappointing, not receiving a response :(  I love the unit but now is malfunctioning, I was hoping for a solution.

I'm also disappointed that there was no response from ToyDemon of whom I purchased this product. :(

Is there anyone else who has this product having a problem?  I would like to know if this is unique.

I was considering buying a second unit, but why should I if there is no support.

BTW, I never received a response from FunFactory either.

Hmm I have a Cobra Libre and I haven't experienced any technical issues so far. The only issues I've heard of are usually control button issues due to lube getting in the unit, but I haven't come across any reviews citing power issues. Sorry I'm not too sure what could be causing the problem. Does the unit show that it's being charged it should slowly blink while charging till it goes solid. Also it should be charged for a full 12 hours before first use according to the instructions that may have something to do with the issue if that battery hasn't been charged properly.

Hope it helps please let us know how it goes.

@muddbutt, thanks for your response. :)

First thing I did when I received the unit was do a full charge (12 hours).   On my unit the light stops glowing when fully charged.

On occasion, while the unit is being charged and is toward the completion of the charge, the unit will start vibrating on it's own.  Is this normal?  Perhaps another indication of a problem.

Hmm that is interesting I've never noticed my unit vibrating when the charge was complete. Have these problems been occurring since day one?

The vibration during charging or at the end of the charging cycle has always been.  I thought it was strange it wasn't mentioned in the instructions and thought it was normal at first.

Wow I think you have a defective unit, instructions included nothing about the unit vibrating during charging functions.

Thanks for your response.

I'm embaressed to admit I did not buy this product from ToyDemon  :-[  My apologies.  Although I've bought quite a few other products from ToyDemon and am a HAPPY Customer.

I am returning the product for replacement from the original retailer.

Regarding the problem with my unit, it seems it's not a unique problem, there are just some rare incidents this product fails.  Over all I believe Fun Factory products are a quality product and I definitely would buy their product(s) again.

Thanks again for everyone's response.
