Shipping
« on: December 29, 2011, 03:27:54 PM »
Well I am not impressed by the shipping!  I ordered my product around 2am in the morning and paid for 2 day shipping.. This should have priority but the package will not even ship out until tomorrow so I won't see it for 6 days from date of order.  I emailed requesting a refund on the difference I paid for 2 days shipping as I will not get the product for 6 days so I would of been better off going with 3-5 day cheaper shipping.. WHY would I pay the expensive fee for 2 day shipping and it not get shipped out the same day?  That makes no sense at all.  This is just poor shipping on the shipping dept.  The orders that are not FREE shipping should have priority because that means we paid a lot of extra to get it sooner!  The cost for 2 day shipping cost me Shipping: $21.36!  and it does not ship out on time!

Well it's probably 2 business day shipping once it's boxed up and brought to USPS.  If I've read your post correctly, then TD got it ready for shipping in 1 day only which isn't bad, but now you have to wait longer because of the weekend and the New Year's holiday. I too recently ordered a Clone Kitazawa and it took 1 day to get it ready. It's coming priority, though, but it may take longer because of the holiday which can't be helped. Of course, I'm like most of the people here, and I can't get my newest toys soons enough.

you mean you ordered 2nd day shipping this morning? which means if it gets shipped out today you should receive it on Tuesday since Monday is a holiday...I think TD ususally is pretty fast on sending out packages ( at least from my previous experiences). But I suppose it also depends on where you live..maybe longer travel time to a different state... Hopefully you get your package soon  :)

Your order was shipped the same day and FedEx had already picked up your package at the writing of your post. Please check the tracking number you received for the complete information.

Sweet! Just got my DNA Clone Kitazawa. I ordered on Dec 27 and it got processed and dropped off to USPS on the 28. Then it traveled priority from IL to NC, and it's here on the 30. Seems like TD and USPS did a fine job as I have something new to enjoy this weekend.  Happy New Year!

 ???

What do you expect when you make an order on the dawn of a 3 day Holiday weekend? Unless Toy Demon is down the block from you, you shouldn't really be complaining. You also have to calculate in processing time. It's 2 day shipping meaning it takes 2 days to get to you from the time it leaves the door. This isn't worth the a forum thread but I guess it was kinda entertaining I did get a good laugh from this guys logic.

About as bad as my package being "out for delivery" for 3 days straight in the city an hour away from me, and yesterday it said 'no delivery attempt made' and today it says 'scheduled for next business day'

lol.  Fedex, should've just went with usps, they are ALWAYS on time, but the last time I used fedex they were a week late, and the time before that they took 2 weeks.  This time they're still within the 1-5 business day time, but the fact that it's been out for delivery for 3 days is a bit annoying.

Yep, right now USPS priority is my favorite way to go. I made sure to give my postman a Christmas gift this year to keep him encouraged to bring my packages to the back door. This is especially important when you got a new toy on the way and you want it hand delivered and on time.

Just slightly off-topic:  Why does USPS Priority Mail almost always take 5-6 work days for a package to arrive here on the East Coast (shipped from the West Coast) but takes only 2 days shipped from here in North Carolina to arrive in California/Nevada/Washington State, etc.  I just don't get it.  On top of that, first class mail shipped from here to California always (holidays excluded) arrives within 2-3 days.

Though I haven't shipped anything recently to the West Coast from NC, I can say that items sent priority from there do get to me here on the East Coast in like 2-3 days. However, if it's UPS it's going take longer for me, especially if I cheap out and get ground delivery. Then I've got a week to wait. Fedex does pretty good by me, and they are reasonably fast and will even try to redeliver the same day if I happened to miss them in the morning.  Nonetheless, I can safely say that getting stuff sent to you in the U.S.A. is pretty damn sweet compared to other countries that I've lived in.  Here I'm pretty much guaranteed to get the item I ordered in a few days or at most a week and at an affordable price.  I really can't complain.

Here's what the USPS Track & Confirm for a Priority Mail package (not from TD) indicates:

Departed San Francisco, CA Sort Facility January 3 10:30 a.m.
Processed through Raleigh, NC Sort Faciility January 4 4:06 p.m.
Departed Raleigh, NC Sort Facility January 5 11:05 a.m.  (so far so good, kinda' sorta')
Processed through Raleigh, NC Sort Facility January 6 11:30 p.m.  (WTF?)

It's now January 8 and no further tracking info is available.  Apparently this package has been gathering dust in Raleigh for 4 frackin' days now.  Oh, and the package is a flat envelope, not a box (which could be used as a semi-comfortable stool for postal workers to sit on) so I am baffled by this.

Damn Billjoe that really sucks. I've had a package sit at the UPS sort facility from Fri-Sun, but never as long as what you are experiencing. Maybe you should give them a call just to get them moving.

assuming they know where the package is when you call them..then they can get it moving :P  Usually they have no idea where the package is until it runs by a scanner

Rather than call, I went in person to the local P.O. today to inquire as to the whereabouts of this package (small town, friendly and helpful postal clerks) and they found it in a post office 20 miles down the road.  ?????  The clerk said it WILL arrive in my town for delivery tomorrow.  He just shook his head sadly and apologized for the delay.   I told him it's not his fault and THANK YOU kind sir!

Well guys, moral of the story is consider FedEx for UPS for your shipping needs if you need fast delivery, LOL.
