Meiki softness inconsistency.
« on: December 08, 2011, 05:58:59 PM »
Hey everyone. I just picked up my Meiki Maria Ozawa (2nd time purchase) and Meiki Up. The two is supposed to be made of the exact same material as I recall from one of the threads posted on this forum, can't remember if it was TD admin. I found the material of Meiki Up noticeably firmer than Maria(it is very obvious, could it have been a bad batch?) . I have not tried out Meiki Up yet. But I will soon and write a brief review about it. At this time I'm just worried that it might be too hard for me.

It's been a couple of years, but I remember when I got the Maria about 4-5 months after the Meiki Down (same material as the Up) I thought it was just a bit softer.  I attributed the Maria being softer to being new.  Now I wonder...

Every Meiki, actually almost all sleeve we carry are hand made and the humidity of the room has a big affect on the material when curing. The manufacturers try to keep it as stable as possible but each batch of a product will be different from another in terms of color and softness.

That is interesting. I thought it was their product line that determined softness. I'm sure the manufacturer is doing what they can to keep their quality as consistent as possible.
TD. I hope this is not too werid or troublesome a request to make. But the next time I buy a Meiki, say... The Extreme Pleasure Hip. Can you sell me the one that jiggle the most out of your shipment? (shake the box with the hip inside if you are not allowed to open it?) The jellier the better cuz I LOVE my Meikis soft. ;D

There are of course different material formulas that makes one material a lot softer than another.

We just wanted to point out the same formula will also vary in softness depending on humidity. A previous post by the one person in Europe commented on how his Meiki Cherry 2 with the new color was hard, we have tested a few batch and feel it really is the same softness as before. It varies just like any other product but it was not a new material. We feel that the new color does make the item seem harder than it really is.

to Kissmyass: Write the jiggle request in the customer note. The warehouse staff will try their best.
