NFL!!!!!!!!!!
« on: September 15, 2011, 09:23:58 AM »
Ok, I am kinda surprised that no one has mentioned this yet.

Is everyone excited that NFL is now back?!?!?!

I went to the Bears game on their opener with the Falcons, and man it was awwwwwwwwesome!

The 9/11 salute and everything, plus the Bears literally pwned the Falcons was just too fun.

The Bears might actually be pretty good this year and we will definitely see how they do against the Saints this Sunday.

Who's everyone rooting for? Any other Bears fan here? Bear down!

Edit: STJ, I saw in your Madden 12 topic that you're a Saints fan, what you think is going to happen this week?

Brees scares me, but I am hoping that our defense can perform like it did in week 1. Also the fact that you lost a couple of guys to injury might help us out a lot. I can't wait till Sunday! Hoping for a Bears victory!

i use to like football, then after the second season of watching it i was like hmm, same as last year...the game has got worse and worse.  i usually just throw it up on the tv on sundays and let it play in the background, its kinda like i dont care about it but i am still somewhat keen on seeing the highlights.  bears might be good this year, but the lions and packers are going to own that division.

How much did it cost? That is sweeet!

Tomorrow can't come soon enough!

Around $130.00 bux it was like 80 something though but the shipping made it cost more.
I got mine done over at RBK Custom. I have been playing with some colors in the past
so i would love to get a new saints show with different colors in diff places. Everywhere i go
people always comment and look at my shoes and ask me where i got them from. and when
i tell them i came up with the colors and how i wanted it to be designed they've tell me i have
such a creative mind. Well today is the big day! Saints & Bears!!   ;D

Hats off to the Saints, they kicked our ass biggggg time.

I am now worried about our Oline going forward. Our 1st round draft pick Carimi is hurt and based on the 4th quarter in yesterday's game, Cutler is going to get killed sooner or later.

Mike Martz needs to get a clue, if you can't pass protect, run the freaking ball!!!! It's so obvious for the opposing defense to just blitz and kill your QB when all you do is throw and the Oline sux at pass protection!

Sigh, next week is against the Packers. I don't even know what to expect anymore. Matthews will kill Culter I think......

With the Super Bowl less than four days away I thought I would add a reply and maybe avoid someone else creating a separate Super Bowl topic. . Obviously the favorite teams of STJ and kuopc are out of it as well as my favorite team but I am hoping for another entertaining Super Bowl this year.

Which team do you want to win?

What do you think about the coaching changes and/or the Peyton Manning situation?

NotAstar, what's your team?

I honestly don't know who I want to win this Super Bowl. I don't want Brady and Belicheat to get another ring, but I could careless if the Giants win. Like you said, if it's entertaining then I guess that's good enough for me.

As for Peyton Manning, I want to see him somewhere else and make that team really good. People were saying the Jets, since Sanchez is horrible. I really don't care where he goes as long as it's not the Vikings. We have enough good qbs in the NFC North with Rodgers and Stafford, can't imagine AP and Peyton on the same offense.......

The NFL team I follow the most is the Houston Texans but I follow all of the NFL as I have played fantasy football for years.

Wade Phillips has made a huge difference this past season but he has always been a great coach for defense especially the first year he is on the job.

Indy should release Peyton Manning or he should retire.  If he can truly play close to the level he played before, prove it by having a scout day at some field showing he can still do it. Everything I have been reading suggests he will not be ready to prove it by March 8th therefore Indy should release him.

No team should be willing to pay $28 million for a QB who has had 3 neck surgeries in less than 2 years and has yet to play a down since his last one. Remember it is the fans who end up paying.

The best situation for Indy would be to renegotiate Peyton's contract to a much lower amount loaded with incentives and draft a replacement QB. If Peyton can come back, OK and they can develop their rookie; if not then their future is now.
