Well I decided to buy a PS3 Slim 160 GB, and I have to say I am extremely pleased with it. It is one powerful machine, I played Killzone 2 and my jaw just hit the fucking floor, the graphics are amazing! I was going to upgrade my computer, but then I started comparing the cost to the price of a PS3, and finally decided the PS3 was a far smarter investment. Another Japanese toy in my collection!

  your crazy bro i like that theory of adding to your "Japanese toy collection" Man i want a PS3 so bad i just purchased another 360 not long ago i don't play it much just sitting up collecting dust, but only till october (my birthday month) gets here and then the big bad Forza 4 comes out lol

Heh, you think Forza 4 is some thing, you should check out Gran Turismo 5. I had to pop my eyeballs back into their sockets, because they literally jumped out of my skull when I saw the screen shots for that game. LOL

Yeah I've seen it Gran Turismo is the grand daddy of the  sim racing genre franchise, i played it all in the past
Sega GT in 2002 on Dreamcast and Forza Motorsport 1 in 2005 i believe on the original Xbox, but nothing will
touch Gran Turismo series, its just aweosme. That would be my only reason for getting a PS3.

Looks like I might be in the market for a new PS3 soon. I just got the BF3 Alpha trial and my comp can barely run the game. Looks like I'll have to get it on360 or PS3 until I build a new rig.

I bought my PS3 slim last xmas season on amazon and I agree that it's worth every penny.

Used to be a Nintendo fan but they haven't had any games that I want to play for a longggggg time, except for the new Zelda.

I don't know if you guys like GTA type games, but if you do, you guys definitely should keep an eye out for Saints Row The Third that's coming out in November. I co-oped Saints Row 2 with my friend and it was one of the most fun/funny/crazy gaming experience that I have ever had. Highly recommended!

As for racing games, I am not too much into racing sims so I can't really say anything there. But on the PS3 I would recommend Uncharted 2, God of War 3, Lost Planet 2.....there are so many good games and they're really cheap since you got your PS3 just now.

I have a new gtx 460 that I am selling.  I've only had it for 6 months and used it a good bit, thing works like a charm.  It will be able to run BF3 no problem on highest settings.  PM me if you're interested.  I still have the box and all the stuff that came with it.

Yeah the thought that the new hardware I buy would be outdated in just a year or two was one of the deciding factors of me buying a PS3. One 300 dollar payment and you can play the newest games for years until the next console is released.

Yeah there's computer monitors that can display at far higher resolutions than a TV. But those monitors are incredibly expensive. I'm playing my PS3 on a 1080p TV and the games look absolutely stunning!

people should often wait for a special edition console come out.

I am waiting for a Forza 4 360 to come out, though chances are slim.

But just because I have a console now doesn't mean I'm completely stopping PC gaming. Games such as Star Wars the Old Republic are ones I will definitely be buying. But the PS3 is my primary gaming machine.

I just finished Arkham Asylum (incredible game), and a thought came to mind: has Batman ever contemplated killing the Joker to end it once and for all? I know Batman is supposed to be on the moral high-ground and wouldn't stoop to that level, but I just wonder if he's ever thought about it?

I am currently playing Batman AA on my PC, the graphics are great and the gameplay is awesome too.

However, I kinda don't like how the whole game is almost forcing you to use detective mode thru out, if you want to find any secrets at all.

More I play Batman the more I feel like these so called heroes with high moral standards, like Batman and his unwillingness to kill off the bad guys, only end up getting more innocent ppl killed. It's getting quite boring and you never get that satisfaction of ending some bad guy, it sux.

Yeah but if Batman killed the Joker, then Batman himself would become a murderer and thus no better than the Joker.

I don't disagree with that, but I also believe that there's some common sense that should be involved here. Kill 1, save hundreds maybe thousands, especially it's not like Joker is a innocent little boy where there's a moral dilemma or anything like that.

Ehh... I might be just using the PS3 for games that aren't on PC. I compared a game on the PS3 to a game on my PC, and there was a major difference in graphical quality. To put it into perspective, the graphics on the PC are Blu-ray quality, while the graphics on the PS3 look like an up-converted DVD.
