southern united states hit by super outbreak
« on: April 29, 2011, 12:10:25 AM »
I'm sure you've all heard by now that the southern United States was hit by a majorly powerful storm, and probably some of you experienced it. At 160 confirmed tornadoes it exceeds the 1974 Super Outbreak, and damn near matches the death toll with 284 people confirmed dead.

I am one of the people that experienced the storm, and let me tell you, I was SHITTING BRICKS! An EF2 tornado hit a truck stop near where my grandparents live and killed 3 people there, it actually picked up tractor-trailers and threw them across the highway! Thankfully my grandparent's house wasn't hit, but my cousin's house was destroyed with him in it, and he was lucky to survive. My house was hit by heavy hail that left dents in the hood of our new Honda Odyssey, and our power was knocked out for over 13 hours.

So if any one experienced this monster storm, I would like you to post your stories here.

Yea that super cell started around my area of north Texas barely missed my city before it started doing any damage. All we got was heavy rain and a bit of hail. I haven't been in an actual tornado since I was like 10, one of the scariest moments of my life.

It has now surpassed the 1974 Super Outbreak, 318 confirmed dead! The deadliest tornado outbreak in almost 40 years.

People who say global warming isn't real are utter morons. Global warming has been happening since the Industrial Revolution started.

These superstorms are bound to happen. It's like earthquakes; every country that is near a trench will receive one, I do not want to be living in Vancouver right now because Canada is way long overdue for an earthquake and we are not prepared for one.
