Semi-Noob in need of a little advice

Hi, I have only owned two "toys" so to speak in the past, both were tengas... But I have finally decided to go for one of the more realistic ones: The ZXY (I would have waited until Black friday, but seeing as its nearly always out of stock I just went for it now)
Anyways onto the questions I meant to ask:
1: I have not gotten my hands on any powder yet, if I get the toy before I buy the powder, is it ok to give it a try? Or will I have to wait untill I buy some powder to give it a first try?
2: As the title states I am rather new to all this
so I am not quite aware how much powder will I have to use, a light sprinkle or a good amount? If someone could enlighten me, that would be most excellent
*I probably shouldn't have started a whole new topic on this, but I did not find any definite info on that when I browsed through this forum

You'll be fine without powder. It's not a necessity but can prevent your toy from getting sticky as heck. You don't need a whole lot of powder, I put my toy in a bag then just a couple of shakes of powder on it and shake it up. It should be a fine dust across your toy and is really only needed if your storing your toy for a while.

like muddbutt mentioned.. powder isn't really needed unless your putting it away for a long time..even if that's the case, you might not need to powder it either..but do make sure it's dried before you store it away..else there's always the possibility of molding
