    -------------------------

    Introduction - "First of Many"

So you finally decided that your hand, sock, or the two sponges in a cup doesn't quite cut it anymore and you need something new and innovative, something that doesn't make you question your sanity for going this far for a homemade sex toy. You've yet to muster the spirit to visit the local adult novelty store or the nearest one is too far away.
After searching the net, you clicked on a banner advertising Toy Demon and ended up here. Lost but curious, you began looking through the inventory to discover Toy Demon's vast selection of toys for you to spend your savings on.
    STOP RIGHT THERE COWBOY.

    Picking the Right Toy

Trust me, everyone here who owned a toy at one point can tell you that the feeling is quite different than the sensation from your hand. Not to mention the extra care such as lubrication, hiding tactics and lies that you'll have to make up if anyone unexpectedly discovers your toys. Imagine the excuses you have to make!

YOU WANT THE BEST! Are you truly prepared for it? You can really be in a world of discomfort if you made the wrong choices, such scary thoughts! All those wants of the tightest, the softest, the most intricate interiors may not be the best for you. The point of your first toy is to introduce your buddy to a whole world of pleasure.

    Reading the graphics... The know-how

THERE ARE NO GRAPHICS!! HAHAHA!! Not anymore anyway...
Toy Demon has done away with their report card, instead, you are given several tabs: Product Description, Video/Info, Specifications, Reviews, Questions, and Product Tags.

Go to any of those tabs for any of your inquiries.
PS: TD!! I want to know the tunnel specs too!!

Toy Demon wants YOU to decide whether the toy is soft enough or stimulating enough or even big enough to fit YOU! Learn through reviews, photos and Q&As, then finally take that leap of faith!! Assassin's Creed style!

    What to choose?

Q: "But Thunderhead," you're saying while reading, "you haven't recommended us anything?"
    A: It's 2018!! Pick whatever you want!! I kid, I kid...

    For starters:
Any toy within the $10 to $30 range is great as they don't break the bank and come with a decent lifespan.

Since a lot of products I referenced are now discontinued, I no longer will feature a list, but my statement regarding the price range and their correlation to durable quality and suitability for beginners remain true.

The review sections are now more active and come with buyers who offer better insight than my own anecdote.

    For you experts out there:
Why are you looking at me for advice, you know your dick better than I do! Go buy things to your liking!

    ============================================================================

    Size matters!!... NOT

In my previous notes, I would've said size doesn't matter, but after reading reviews and having some experience under my belt, I must slap my old self silly. Of course size matters! You want a toy that you can fully fill to maximize the pleasure, feel all of the textures the toy has to offer, not to mention, the suction when you try to pull out?

    Be Prepared to Spend

You pay for what you get! Then you come across some gems and that's where reviews come in handy.

For you people who are not in the US, please do pay close attention to your credit card/online transaction companies' conversion rates, because they are different than what XE or other online converters are telling you. Example: Paypal stands at 0.93 CAD per 1 USD when XE reports 0.96 CAD per 1 USD. The difference will take a bite at you during checkout. (example data is as of week 4 of December 2009).

Obvious Tip!! Subscribe to the Toy Demon's newsletter and follow them on social media networks for deals not found elsewhere! They announce special deals on different networks so be on the lookout!

    Be gentle, and take care

Like Toy Demon recommends, you should use hand soap to clean the interior of your toy, I also recommended shampoo (a while back) for getting rid of the smell, then found out later that you shouldn't do that because the oil used to keep the toy smooth is washed away by it, leaving the exterior rubbery. Put it in a cool and dry place and avoid direct sunlight, and your toy should last long.

The Package... its coming... I must prepare... Wait, what if~?

Occasionally I find someone asking that question and the answer is simple. Its a simple cardboard box (or parcel box) with brown paper stuffing that conceals all of the content. Someone will literally have to open the box and take away the stuffing to know what it is. And fear not, the sending company's name is NOT Toy Demon, but Polydigitech (or PDT on your credit card receipts/statement).
The content inside is labelled as either a plastic toy(s) or a toy accessory(ies)-(this includes lubricants). Very discreet, simple and normal. The only thing that will raise suspicion is probably you quickly taking the package and running off.

All you have to worry about, is find proper storage.

    Things to Look Out For

Being able to fit it inside doesn't mean you won the battle. Sometimes too tight result in the material scratching away at your underside or worse, the crown (or corona). The shaft is the least likely spot to get hurt, but the glan, being the most sensitive part, is exposed to tons of problems if your toy is too tight or the material is not soft enough. Apply lube liberally

As a beginner, check your crown, frenulum and foreskin for signs of soreness, which usually means you ought to rest a few days before tackling that silicone succubus again.

    Preparing for a Session

Once you get the product, you will definitely be very eager to take the toy out for a spin. This is where prep work begins. Other than a comfortable chair (or bed), bottle(s) of lubricant and your porn; you will also need rags or towels because those cleanups need some good gripping towels to remove... pretty much everything.

Be sure to disassemble the cardboard box and recycle!!

    Conclusion

I have been a member of this community for a quite a while and though I may not be the biggest collector of any particular line of onaholes, I have real-life experiences (and experience with the most popular toys at the time) that really helps construct what you see here. I know it is a lot to read, but some parts you can skip because you may not be interested in it. I hope this helps clear some of the troubling questions you may have.

Hope you enjoyed the guide! And I hope it helped you begin your collection on the right foot!!

My god... I typed a lot...

Dude.. You kicked ASS at writing that whole thing. Hell, I even learned a few things! It's a must see for newbies and good for people returning to the site to get another toy for one reason or another. GREAT JOB Thunderhead!

Thank you, I often come back to make the necessary changes to reflect Toy Demon's new product lines and fix the occasional grammar/spelling errors I find in there.

    Thunderhead,

This is a very good walkthrough of what to expect and how to look at getting one of these products. I am glad you have taken the time to explain it so thoroughly. I have not made a purchase from TD yet, but I may not be so far in the future now.

could you explain the graphic bars that show rating, tightness...
I am not sure that low is on the left and the closer that they get to the right the better (tighter, etc)  it make it tough to decide on a toy when comparing it to the bars from a toy that I have already...

    Thanks :D

The rating system is based on a 5 bar that does not depict the quality but level. So a toy scoring 5 bars on tightness means that the toy is very tight, not high quality in tightness; same applies to the softness, only 5 bars in softness means the toy is very soft (which does not make it an ideal "humping" toy). The third and last category is based on TD's opinion after their own tests.

I will update my guide with this portion for future references.

I bought my 1st toy (Tenga flip black) with out this sticky and while i had a good time, I wish I could have read this to make a better informed decision. I'm thinking of either going with the tong ggo, Kashin 6, or the Meiki Yen Jyu Yi. I want something realistic, tight, and soft! I had the black and white TENGA's along with there first batch set I caught on sale and liked their tightness, but because of my size I would top/bottom out and my tio would hit the plastic backing that has a ridge seal and would take me out of the moment. I'm on a little budget right now with alot of things happening, but would like to grab the Meiki tho.

This guide may be outdated due to new changes on TD's website as well as new product lines released that I did not have time to evaluate.

To all readers and those frustrated by the broken URLs, please look forward to a guide 2.0 that will be in the pipelines after a full analysis of the new features and products.

A lot of people seem to mention tearing of their meiki. Can anyone expand on this? Is this simply a design flaw? Is it minor tearing? Or are folks simply abusing their toys in a beastily fashion?

Well, I have a few meiki.. they do have minor tear at the entrance but it doesn't really extend much further than that and hasn't been a problem for me at all. I think because these toys are designed for Japanese customers...the size of the product isnt exactly made for well endowed westerners.. So there's probably going to be minor rips at the entrance.

Should have seriously read this a little more thoroughly sooner. I had the feeling this guide was outdated and paid it no mind.
My experiences: buying a low priced toy every now and being careful with it would be the best economically (keeping in mind the toy is fit for your dimensions). A good alternative would be buying a more expensive "built-to-last" toy. I have just ordered a Kashin and a Tomax(EU) toy, hopefully they'll last a lot longer than what I experienced so far.

Finally, stimulation- and realism-wise, buying Meiki's and changing them when they break would be the best option but expensive.
Top recommendations 1: Julia + (intense, realistic sensations at a not-so-intense price) 2: First Sexual Experience (personal favorite)
3: Wet Meiki SHIN (revolutionary soft but gripping material). Honorable Mention: Tomax 2D Wavy Ripple (great for transition hand-> toy)

Yes, my apologies, but this guide was made quite early when I first joined ToyDemon. Most this guide was based on my personal experience and collected judgement.

Outdated as it may seem, I still feel that the information on this may be overshadowed by the publishing date. I hope many newbies will give this guide a chance in hopes they'll learn something new and "experienced" users will help contribute to this guide to help future buyers; nothing helps TD like an informed customer.

The only thing I find outdated quite often is the product list. That said, the product list is an introduction to the vast catalogue of what TD has to offer. It is to get you on your feet without spending unnecessary amount of cash to experiment yourself.

I am happy that you find this guide useful. Even if it is running couple years old.
