Could my Erotic Elder Sister be defective?

I just received the Erotic Elder Sister. I ordered it during the July 4th sale. I can't help but wonder if the one I received is defective. I've contacted customer service and hopefully I'll hear from them on Monday. I'm hoping some other EES owners can help confirm or deny my suspicions that I received a defective one. The second section, after the spiral part where the G-spot nub is, feels gritty, almost like a mild sandpaper feeling. It's pretty much the exact opposite of the sensation you would want or expect from an onahole. I figure this can't be the intended texture for this toy. Can any EES owners shed any light on this issue?

It's not defective, it could be the lube you used but I suggest using a meiki lotion product ( Maria lotion) and try it again.. it should feel a bit better

I'm a bit conflicted here because my gut feeling is that you're right, it's not defective, but I can't imagine what would possess them to put that kind of texture in an onahole. It's like little tiny specks of sand. How could that possibly feel good? I'm just so disappointed. I really thought I'd love the thing, and now instead I have a $40 piece of useless rubber.
I did try 2 different types of lube I've got a couple others though, and yet another on the way. I guess I'll give it another go tonight. Fingers crossed.

did you wash out the toy before use.. I always wash them out fully before use to get rid of any powder on the surface of the toys..sometimes it can clump up and feel like sandpaper..but after washing my toys usually it gets rid of any surface powder residue
I don't think it's a defect.

I did wash it out before my first use but apparently not well enough. Before using it the second time, I turned it inside out and cleaned it more thoroughly. Actually, that's quite an understatement. I scraped away at the part with the sandpaper-like texture with my fingernails, and after 5-10 minutes I was able to remove almost all of the little specks that were causing the discomfort. I realized while I was doing this that the specks were also present in the spiral entrance, so I did my best to remove those as well. I'm a little concerned that I may have altered the texture a bit from what it was originally supposed to be, but it sure beats fucking sandpaper. The second time around was much more enjoyable, and I predict that over time the toy will smooth itself out a bit more and provide an even better experience.
It would be nice if Toydemon or Toysheart or whoever would make this issue known to buyers beforehand. I imagine some people might just throw the thing away and not give it a second chance after such a horrible first experience, which would be a shame.
Anyway, thank you guys for helping me figure this out. It is much appreciated. Hopefully the next guy who has a similar issue will stumble upon this thread.
