Transition from FL- Two Meikis to Decide From

Hey Guys,
I have been a Fleshlight user for some time and thought of it as okay but nothing I could rave about. I then found out about the meikis through this forum and wish I had known about them before Fleshlight. I am not trying to say Fleshlight is a bad product but I personally wanted realism and that isn't something Fleshlight really does.
I have done a lot of reading on this forum about the different Meikis and I started out with this selection: utensil race up, Sarah, ZXY, and Maria Ozawa. After some more reading I narrowed it to ZXY and Maria Ozawa. I am looking for realism and it seems that both the ZXY and the Maria Ozawa offer the best in that.
The differences between the Maria Ozawa and the ZXY from what I have read are:
1. The Maria Ozawa is a softer material than the ZXY which some people wrote makes it more realistic.
2. The Maria Ozawa is a single layer masturbator while the ZXY is a double layer masturbator and it seems from what I have read that the double layer masturbators tend to separate making them unusable.
3. The ZXY is firmer and tighter than Maria Ozawa which supposedly sacrifices some realism and this additional firmness and tightness is because it is a double layer masturbator.
4. I kept reading that the Maria Ozawa has problems with the canal not being straight causing weak spots in the material. Is that still an issue or has that been remedied?
My final questions are: What would be a realistic lubricant? I read that the Maria Ozawa lubricant is quite realistic
Lastly, how do you use these since they don't have a case like Fleshlight? I know you can buy a plush doll but what is a simpler way? Is there a case available or can one be homemade?

Welcome Zhao!
Big props for doing your research before you asked your questions, it really does make helping you out much easier.
Your info is correct for the most part. With dual layered meikis the inner layer can sometimes separate, but in my experience it will tend to peel/break off in small pieces slowly over time. This does effect stimulation over time, but not all-of-a-sudden. The inner layer is made of slightly firmer material, so losing it will slowly reveal the softer outer layer, which isn't textured like single layered meikis, so stimulation will greatly decrease the more of this smooth outer layer you expose. So the dual layered meiki is still very useable over this time period until it isn't stimulating enough for you.
I'm sure separation of the inner layer happens, it just hasn't happened to me yet. Being really careful and gentle while cleaning/drying will extend the life of your dual layered meiki, as I believe this is when a lot of the inner layer peeling happens.
My 1st Maria was perfectly centered, but my 2nd is a little off down and to the left. It doesn't really effect use, but I can see it becoming a problem if the walls are too thin in certain areas. Again, being careful can help keep damage from occurring as long as the tunnel isn't too far off.
I'm not certain if this problem is still happening, maybe someone who has bought their Maria recently can chime in?
As for lube, I mostly use just 2 different ones, both are excellent. Maria Ozawa lotion is my most used, really good lube that lasts a pretty long time. The 2nd is Onatsuyu Pussy Juicy Lotion. This one is also very good but in a different way. I usually try both with new meiki to see what works better for that particular one. You can always add a little water to make it thinner also.
I don't know of a case for meikis but there may be one out there. Personally, I used to wrap a folded up hand towel around the meiki. This serves two purposes, it helps isolate the meiki from your hand, and 2nd it allows you to increase stimulation/tightness by wrapping it tighter. This also helps you use it hands-free, as you can place it between pillows to get it in the right position.
All of that said, nothing beats the Plush Doll. It just adds another layer of realism to your session that nothing else will. I highly recommend it if you can store it and afford it.
I hope this answers some of your questions. Good luck.

Thank you for your reply SonicBoom. It does help me out. I was originally focused on the ZXY since I read a lot of people saying it is as good or even better than the Maria Ozawa plus a lot of people say it is a good first Meiki. However, I feel like I have leaned a bit towards the Maria Ozawa.
I think what keeps from going for the Maria Ozawa is the complaints I read about the wall being too thin and prone to tearing open on one side because of the off center canal. The other thing that somewhat concerns me is that some people wrote that the material of the Ozawa is too soft which is what makes me lean back to the ZXY since it is firmer.

As for the Maria Ozawa, I guess it comes down to the luck of the draw. If you get one that is really off centered, the wall will be thin in one area.
Since you are coming from using Fleshlights, maybe the ZXY is a better choice for you for right now. The material firmness of the ZXY is much closer to Fleshlights than the Maria Ozawa, so there would be less of a transition going to the ZXY. If you went directly to the Maria, there's a chance it will be too soft for you at first. You will adjust over time, but during the transition you may not feel much stimulation at all. When you hear of people saying that this meiki is too soft or that meiki is too hard it's just compared to what they are used to at the moment. If you try to transition from too great a difference in firmness all at once it will feel too hard or too soft until your body adjusts to it.
You can't go wrong with the ZXY, it's the top seller on TD for good reason. Once you get a chance to try it out, it will be easier to figure out which direction to go from there.
