So ya, is anyone getting the Wii U?

I grew up playing Nintendo and now that I am older and don't have as much time to play games, I didn't find Wii U that exciting.........till I saw the demo station in Best Buy and my gf and I played it. Now I think I am going to get one at launch......if I can find one. I want the deluxe version!

Anyway, the Rayman demo we played was really fun. My gf played with the regular wii controllers while I tried the Game Pad. That thing is pretty big, yet not too heavy. The resolution on the game pad was actually good, I was surprised there as I was expecting DS pixelated screen. The controls are very responsive and we had a blast playing it.

It's weird playing a co-op game while she was looking at the tv and I was looking down at the game pad, but I can see how this can be really fun and different from what we are used.

So who's getting one?

 When I look at my game shelf I see a row of PS3 games, another Row of PS3 games, a row of PS2 games, another row of PS2 games, another row of PS2 games, and then a tiny space on the shelf for all 10 wii games I brought in the past 6 years. I remember waiting in line at for 6 hours just to get my hands on a Wii... only to find out they would hardly have any games worth buying. Then developers just stopped making real games for it all together and it because the "mini game console".

This time around I'm going to wait or maybe just skip it altogether till nintendo shows me it's worthy of 600bucks.

I know what you mean. I have not touched my wii in probably a year and a half......(hahaha that sounded so wrong!). There weren't any games that I cared for on it. Last game I played on it was Zelda.

Maybe it was playing with my gf or maybe it was something different and I need my new gadget toy (other than meikis).

It's only 300 for the basic model and not 600. But if you mean buying games and shit for it, yah it will cost you a little more.

I know no one really cares about the Wii U here, but I just have to post about it. Nintendo had a "Nintendo Direct" yesterday, in which they directly talk to the consumers, instead of showing something behind the doors to some journalists. And announced a few games. One thing that caught my eye the most:

This game is like Monster Hunter x Lost Planet 2 x Gundams!!!!!! It's like my dream come true as far as video games. In terms of sex toys, this is like the Meiki Plush Doll x Meiki Pure Hip x Angel Boobs!!! I can't freaking wait!!!

Lol, I played Baten Kaitos!!! Gosh the good old Gamecube days! I never finished it tho cuz the card style of the game.

I did play Xenoblade not too long ago. I still need to get back on that, and this new trailer people are speculating it's a sequel to Xenoblade. Can't waittttt!

     That looks pretty cool although I admit I stopped playing Monster Hunter after a while because the online was so redundant.

Monster Hunter does get redundant. However, when I played it was with 3 of my friends and it was awesome trying to plan our attacks and traps and everything.

Can't wait for Monster Hunter Ultimate for the Wii U in like 1.5 months!!!
