Please explain what softness scale and sgl vs. dble layer means

I don't mean technically. I mean practically - in terms of stimulation, long-lastingness, durability etc, what do these descriptions mean?
I could care less about the price (within reason) or how much like most women ('realistic') it feels
Softer is better or worse? I don't get it.
Apparently Fleshlight is similar to other manufacturer's 'regular'. But clearly 'soft' and 'hard' sells too. Why would anyone want hard?
To give a real world example, I remember one girl from Vietnam I was screwing. Her vagina actually felt SPONGEY soft. It was a totally out of this world sensation that none of the 100s of other Asian women ever had. A miracle. Think I have been with less than three women who were close. Is this the advantage of soft? I just don't want to spend a lot of money experimenting on regular and hard if they aren't as blissful.
What are the advantages of dual layer? Any disadvantages other than price?

As for soft vs. hard, one isn't necessarily good or better, it all depends on your sensitivity level. Your current sensitivity level depends on what you're used to right now.
The softness number, the lower number means more stimulating(hard). You will need a meiki with a TD softness rating to use as a baseline before you can predict what that number will mean to you going forward.
I prefer very soft(9), but that's just my preference. Hard feels rough and uncomfortable for me, like getting a hand-job from a woman with callused hands.
Double layered meikis are the same as single layered ones, except that a harder layer is bonded to the inside tunnel, making the meiki more stimulating, while keeping the flexible "give" of the softer material. The main negative of this is the inner layer tends to separate, peel and come off at some point. Some models and brands are more durable than others, YMMV.
I hope this answered your questions.
