Seriously?  My first time buying a product from this site and from the Meiki line of products, and I get one so defective that it can't be used!?  Talk about bad first impressions.

After taking the Maria Ozawa out of the box, I put a little water inside and inspected it with just my finger (really) and discovered that the tunnel does NOT go through the center of the toy!  Not even close.  It angles off at about 30 degrees and heads straight for the left wall of the toy's body!  It's SO THIN there that you can see my finger (and even the fingerprint) through the wall!  No, I didn't have to put any serious pressure there either, and I know it's super stretchy (I've had other toys of similar material in the past) but seriously, it's totally obvious that the tunnel is in a place where it's not supposed to be.  There's also a very small hole that water was seeping through.  I dried it out somewhat, then put it right back in the packaging.  Unbelievable.  I'm so fucking pissed right now. 

I've emailed customer support and included photos, but I'm just hoping they can help me out.   

Anyone else ever get a toy where the tunnel was made off angle like that???

I do not think it is manufacture defection; it is a matter of poor design. On the left mid-section of the body, you will noticed how vulnerable the region are just by fiddling with your fingers on the exterior surface. That region is prone to tearing and ripping during usage.

As for the of course issue you think you're having is how the interior design of the Maria toy was engineered. That can however be determined or distinguished through TD's photos.

I had a bad experience with the Maria on my second usage. I went too rough on her, and the ridge of my member almost tore through the left vulnerable region of her body. It was bad, resulting in a pin-sized hole allowing lubes to seep out from the location. Thereafter, I bought a cheap solder iron from Amazon "Made in china." to fixed the issue. The problem with this device was it set the heat to  max, and I totally fried the body of my Maria. Silly me. LOL

How often does this problem show up? I browsed through 92 reviews and unfortunately it seemed to be rather common. I am planning a first time purchase but am a little worried to receive a bad product.

Mine angles to the left like that and it is pretty thin. It also developed a very small hole where lube could seep out if the material was stretched enough. I soldered over this with some material and it has somewhat made it better.

I agree that it is a poor design to have it angle like that and getting so close to the outer edge. What makes it worse is if using it in your hand it will flop a bit naturally to that thin side so it just compounds the weak design. If you can go hands free and stick it in something to stay straight (or even just hold that weak spot in your palm so it has support) then it isn't an issue at all.

Pretty sad they haven't tweaked the design after all these years. I guess in the sex toy industry fixing issues isn't a priority. Well, at least for NPG as it seems all their sleeves have either poor durability (the reviews indicate their dual layer quality is suspect and it seems every new Meiki from them has tearing issues almost right away) or poor design decisions like this issue with the Maria.

Mine also does not seem to be centered. Do you guys think it will help if I put it into a bottle for extra support during use? I'm not sure how much forced is needed to actually break it, but it might help.

I'm not too good with soldering so I preferably don't even get there unless no other option.

I just bought my first Maria and have the exact same issue, mine curves very close to the back and it seems very thin between the toggle and the back, so I thin I can see clearly through when pressure is applied. Ive only tried the maria once but it so off center and doesn't go deep enough in to the meiki that there is all the weight of extra rubber on the top that flops forward which causes extra stress on the thin part plus makes it really awkward to use. I've had it 2 days and really not impressed, especially with the hype its had.

Lucky I bought a ZXY at the same time and that is 100x the quality. it sits center and is great to use and feels way better than my maria.

I didnt know if this is standard with the maria or if I should return it, but i cant see myself using it when I have the zxy.
