I've never owned or used a sleeve or anything like it before. That changed yesterday. Based on reviews and a few guides, I decided to take the plunge and by the First Sexual Experience sleeve by ToysHeart.

First thing's first. My order came in a plain, nondescript cardboard packing box and looked like any other parcel. My 12-year-old picked up the mail and put it on my desk without batting an eye. So if discretion is your concern, no worries. Big thumbs-up to ToyDemon. When I opened it I found a layer of brown packing paper and a packing slip, and below that the box as it appears on the site. Within that box is a plastic tray with recesses for the lube and toy. The toy itself is wrapped in plastic that's easy to remove.

I'd never seen one of these in real life so I was unprepared for its size and weight. If you've ever had the Classic Burrito from Taco Time--what they used to call their "wrap"--it's about the same size, albeit a little thicker and shorter, and I'd say it weighs maybe a pound and a half. It has heft in your hand.

A moment here for some baselines: I'm almost 40 and I have had a *lot* of sex in my life. I know what women feel like, and I very much know and love the bare feeling of being inside one. I'm average in size and circumference.

I decided to forego the lube that came with it and used my usual Astroglide. I started with a few drops around the entrance and tried fingering it to spread the lube. My first impression was that I was shocked by how much it felt like fingering a real vagina--that in and of itself was a turn-on. It felt a little clammy due to the ambient temperature, but the texture was just right.

This impression was confirmed the first time I put my cock in it. It felt incredible. Having it turned around one way was definitely nicer than having it turned around the other way (experiment and you'll see what I mean), but both felt good and I found that while one particular way was more intense and felt better, turning it around felt like I could get deeper.

Cleaning was not difficult. I was afraid to turn it inside out at first, and I still haven't done that all the way, but I found that just spreading it open while running hot water inside and wiping the insides with a paper towel while spread got it clean and dry. I wasn't sure if dessicant packets were a good idea, so I decided to wrap it in a paper towel and put it in a ziploc bag to store. I did notice the oily smell that some people describe, but it wasn't really off-putting to me.

Let me be clear: getting this toy was a life-changing experience in terms of masturbation habits. I don't think I could ever go back to my hand after this. I love it.

About the only disappointment I had was that it wasn't as tight as I was expecting--and while I'm not huge, I'm not a small guy either. I've been with women who are virgins or otherwise tight before, and they're a *lot* tighter than this toy. I found that if I held the toy down near the entrance while stroking and squeezed, it helped with that feeling. But I'd like to find a toy that's just as durable and lovely-feeling as this, but with a much tighter, snugger fit (especially around the entrance) that's more like what I'd actually expect from someone's "first time".

It's been almost a month now, so I figured I'd follow up with my experiences.

First of all, this has been an outstanding buy. I'd recommend this toy to just about anyone unless the dimensions of your cock are well above average in some way. Mine is about 6" and average in circumference as well.

I have fucked this toy at least once per day since I got it--sometimes twice or, on one or two occasions, three times. When I cum, I cum inside it, and I tend to do so about as fully inserted as possible. For the first week or two I owned it, I tried turning it mostly inside-out (but not all the way) to dry it. I found this to be unnecessary, and I'm sure it contributed to the loosening of the channel a bit. After that I largely stopped doing more than rising it out with hot water and my fingers, then wrapping it in paper towels and setting it by my bedside. I use it and clean it daily, so I'm not worried about any excess moisture getting nasty or moldy.

I can feel the walls getting thin in places, where my cock has started to "burrow" its way through one unseen internal tear or another, but to prolong its life I have been "aiming" for the thicker parts where this isn't happening. I have yet to break through but I'm sure it'll happen eventually, and probably within a matter of a week or two given how often I use this.

Probably the biggest mistake I made was when I was experimenting with warming it up. I heated some water in a pot on the stove, put the toy in an open plastic baggie (so I could easily lift it out, and open so the hot water could get inside to warm it up there) and let it sit for a few minutes. By the time I took it out and really got hard, it cooled a little so that it was closer to body temperature.

This felt incredible. But I noticed whenever I did this that the hole would be "gaping" for a while when I was done, as if the heated material had reformed itself around the dimensions of what was inside it, and then settled that way as it cooled. It still shrank back over time, but I'm pretty sure every time I did this permanently loosened it a bit, and also contributed to the "burrowing" effect by softening the material.

I'm also pretty sure that this was partially due to the water being too hot, but I'd caution anyone to think twice before heating a toy made of this material in this way--even at lower temperatures you may still get the same kind of wear, just less so. I stopped doing it a few weeks ago, and only did it four or five times total.

A few other details:

- I have mild erectile dysfunction, and sometimes have trouble staying hard. I found that this toy was really good for helping work through this, because most of the texture is in the first few inches. I was able to stay inserted and stimulate myself even when mostly soft. I've actually sometimes been able to make myself cum with this toy even when I wasn't hard.
- Turning the toy 90 degrees sideways from its normal orientation in either direction really enhances the sensation, especially once it loosens up and no longer stimulates as well. This is also helpful for getting hard again.
