The black heart wish list icon should change red on that products page once you added it to your wish list. As of right now, if you add an item to your wish list and then look at the product page for that item the "add to wish list" black heart button is still the same color.

It would just be nice to know just by looking at a products page if that item has already been added to your wish list or not.
