Man, it really is sad to see. We have lost one of the greats of our time and possibly all time. Regardless of whether you like/used Apple products or not, we owe him lots for where we are today in terms of technology.

R.I.P. Steve.

P.S. Fucking hate cancer!

sucks to see him die, but am i the only one that knows apple really did nothing for technology.  apple uses other products and just places them together, they haven't invented any new technologies.  everything they make there is an equal for it, the only apple product ive ever had was a 1st gen shuffle with 512 mb on it, its longer with me either.  apple was just a brand, itunes was after napster, so itunes wasnt anything new either.  other then selling their brand well, they only really had success by exploiting the internet with their easy access to movies and music.  i dont sit back and i will not consider jobs as a creator of anything other than a brand, he isnt in the same league as nikola tesla, hes more so like a bill gates, just not as rich

Umm not a Jobs fanboy by any stretch but I'd say inventing the computer mouse and graphical user interface should put him up amongst the ranks of Edison and Tesla.

doug engelbart invented the mouse, and jobs only applied what he learned in communication classes to apply an easy-to-use text interface, he did nothing special as far as inventions are concerned.  i  encourage you to read a bit more about edison and tesla before passing that judgement

Did anyone see the news about his biography and his stance on android? LOL.

To be honest, I was a Nokia user before, I even had the N97 which I spent close to $600 buying it unlocked online. I didn't want to conform to "Apple" and its iPhone and become one of those, ohhhhh look at me I have an iPhone.

Fast forward 1 year, the N97 keeps crashing on me, can't find my MP3, and has one of the worst/sluggish touchscreen interfaces I have ever used. Needless to say, I switched over to the iPhone 4 and now I can't imagine how I'd go without it! Checking emails, reading comics, playing games, stream my music, watch youtube and netflix.....the list goes on.

As soon as iPhone 5 is out, it will be mine!!!!
