How to clean Meiki? Tearing problems.
« on: April 28, 2010, 11:41:40 PM »
How do you clean Meiki?
I heard people say flip inside out. Will this tear it?
Used to have a Meiki down, but it tear too easily, it almost tears instantly when I put it on a missionary position, don't know if new Meiki fixes this problem.
To compare with, 17 evo doesn't tear and I always flip inside out to clean it thoroughly.
I just got a new Meiki ZXY, compared with other Meiki products, EXP, OL, Maria, does it tear easily and how to clean it?

I should join in on this because I'm getting mine sometime tomorrow, which I hope I'm home to sign for.

I wouldn't recommend flipping the ZXY inside out, or any toy for that matter.  I have done it on my Meiki Down one time, it did not tear.  I still do not want to take the chance of deteriorating the material or having it tear later on.  It is easy, IMO, to clean Meiki without flipping it inside out.  I choose to clean it by letting hot water run into it, insert two fingers all the way to the back, push them in and out and repeat until clean.  Occasionally, rise it out with alcohol.

Tell us how you like your ZXY, please!  ;D

I'm also curious about the 17 Evo, I've read that a lot of people have problems with the two layers separating, rendering the toy useless.

ok, i've tried zxy it's very good. i can't seem to flip inside out since it's thick and i just found out i don't need to. what i do is to spread the hole wide open and clean with shampoo and water and wipe dry. also, the material does not tear at all, very durable.

I had a thought about taping 2 or 3 toothbrushes (the soft kind, so it won't tear anything) together and sticking them inside the toy with liquid soap or shampoo of any safe gentle kind and give them a good brushing. I wouldn't know how exactly it could be done since it was only an idea that popped into my head just now. But, I'm sure other people can think of something besides that and my James Bond idea of filling it half with water and a lil liquid soap and covering the entrance and shaking it. The last idea has worked for me this entire time by the way. no tearing problems or anything. whats the zxy smell like also?

"How would you like your drink Mr.Bond?"

"I'll have a martini, Shaken Not Stirred."

Is using an antibacterial soap to clean any of the meiki's okay? Will it make the interior soft texture all rubbery?

I'm also curious about the 17 Evo, I've read that a lot of people have problems with the two layers separating, rendering the toy useless.

Being an owner of that toy, I can only say that people who say its useless have never realized just how smooth the exterior layer is. The inner may be useless after separation, but if the inner layer is still intact, then you got yourself a very nice toy that is just a few centimeters between your hand and your unit.

Once that baby separates and if both pieces are intact then you score two new toys. Of course, the level of sensation is changed by how you play.

In terms of Seventeen Evo, Manbow and Like a Virgin separating, we have been talking with ToysHeart ever since the issue was initially raised by our customer. After some back and forth, they've been able to eliminate the possibility of that happening in the future. We have since never receive any more people who had issues with these products. We just never really announced it but your feedbacks are important to us and through us have a direct channel back to the makers.
