A few questions about repairs
« on: December 09, 2016, 11:45:13 AM »
So I have a few toys that have issues. I've read that most of the issues can be fixed with a soldering iron, but I want to get some input before I make any attempts.

First off, for my ZXY (about a year old), the layers seem to be separating at the entrance. I'm wondering if this can be fixed at all, or if this means the toy is basically on its last legs?

I have a La Bocca Della Verita that came with a defect of a tiny, pin-sized hole at the very end of the toy that lotion bubbles out from a little under pressure. This is fixable with a soldering iron, right?

For my Ozawa, I think I just got a horribly defective one (2/2 defective toys in one order, man my bad luck has just been out of control lately). It has the tunnel defect and the entrance started to tear after about a week. I figured with the tunnel defect it wouldn't have a long useful life, but that's just disappointing...

The most complicated one is my Meiki Virgin Sister. I've had it for a few years and the material seems to have hardened considerably over time inside and out to the point where its basically unusable. Is there any way to resoften the toy or is it basically done?

 Hi tehlaziness

I'm a long-time user of ToyDemon products, and have also had issues with manufacturing flaws and normal wear-and-tear.

Generally I found repairing a toy does not restore a toy to its pristine condition, and at best is a temporary fix until I have the budget for a replacement.

For the ZXY, if it still usable and the layer separation is only a visual or cosmetic issue, I would not attempt a repair. Fiddling with repairs at the entrance has a high risk of introducing irritating hard edges which will eventually leave your member raw or worst case - bleeding!

The La Bocca is a great candidate for soldering iron repair. To plug the hole, cut a small segment of material from another part of the toy and melt that into the hole using the soldering iron. There are several good posts on this forum describing the soldering iron technique. You could also shop around for a glue that works on TPE.

My third Ozawa was the first one that had no manufacturing defects, and it was an absolute delight. The previous ones were either tunnel alignment flaws or thin side walls that failed to hold up to repeated use.

As for the hardening of the Maiki Virgin Sister, I have not experienced this phenomenon. I would call it done as you have had good mileage and it may be time for a replacement.

If you like soft toys, I can give a plug for my all-time favorite, the Puni Virgin 1000 Fuwatoro. I have three of them!

Thanks for taking the time to respond!

Okay, I won't mess with the ZXY. I've gotten a pretty good amount of use out of it, so I'm not too sad about replacing it. The separation isn't too bad, so I probably have at least a few more uses left of it. And I mean, the Valentine's Day sale isn't too far off. Sucks that 3/4 of my vaginal toys are gonna need to be replaced at the same time. My ToysHeart Innocent Younger Sister is still in good shape, but it is a huge downstep in quality from the other three. It was a decent first purchase, but after the Ozawa and the ZXY. It's kind of odd, I got it at the same time as the Meiki Virgin, but it didn't harden at all over time...

Yeah, I didn't think the La Bocca would be a tough fix. I'll probably just cut off a piece of my Meiki Virgin and plug it up with that, since that's probably trash anyway.

omg, I've been wanting the Fuwatoro for months, but it's been sold out forever. I contacted ToyDemon about it and they said they aren't expecting it in until February >.< I really want a nice, hefty, super soft toy, and it seems to be somewhat one of a kind in that regard. I mean, I like the Ozawa, but it just feels so... tiny, you know? Like, the tunnel is needlessly short with all this material between the end of the tunnel and the back, but the structure around the tunnel is so thin. I feel like the Ozawa would have benefited from being a bit heavier. It is a great toy though. I just hope soldering the tear around the entrance fixes it, because I don't see it lasting much more than 1-2 more uses otherwise...

You are in luck. The Fuwatoro is available at queencatadulttoys dot com. Search for Puni Virgin. While you are there, also check out some other delightfully soft toys, namely the Muses series in "Rich Soft". Probably the softest things that can retain a shape since marshmallows.

Sadly, that seems to be the original puni virgin model. Honestly, I'm kinda broke right now, so I think I can wait until february for the fuwatoro. I will definitely take note of the rich soft muses toys though. Thank you for the recommendation :D

Actually, if you have experience with these, would you be able to compare the softness level ratings on those to the ratings on toydemon? I'm thinking the Arkhe looks pretty cool, but I would be torn between very soft and rich soft...

My bad - you are correct. It is the older Fuwatoro on the queencattoys website.

The Rich Soft is about a level 9 or 10 on the TD softness scale, slightly softer and less stimulating than the Fuwatoro 1000. I do not have any experience with the other Muses' softness levels.

When I rank my toys according to Most Favored Pussy (MFP), the crown goes to the Meiki Extreme Pleasure Hip, followed by the Puni Virgin 1000 Fuwatoro, then the Meiki Extreme Pleasure Hip Shinsei and finally the Muses Rich Soft. I have discarded countless sleeves and hips from my decades of enthusiastic and expensive experimentation. I would gladly have passed these on to some deserving soul, but there is a certain squeamishness about sex toy hand-me-downs, don't you agree?

Hi tehlaziness,

I have the Arkhe and the Kokalo in rich soft, the Venus Real and Clone in very soft and the Lilith Uterus in soft.  I would rate rich soft as a little softer than a "9" on the TD scale.  Very soft as somewhere between an "8" and "9", and soft as a little softer than a "7" on TD's scale.  I hope this helps.

Haha, yeah I feel you. Honestly, I would probably like to do the same for some of my daki covers one day, but the same feeling kinda goes with them too...

Thank you both for your input, both of your answers were very helpful. Looking at the TOMAX toys, I'd probably want to try soft or very soft first, since currently the softest toy I've ever used is the Ozawa. The Arkhe is currently sold out in both very soft and rich soft; would either of you recommend any of the other toys in the series over the others? I'm kinda eying the Lilith Uterus right now because the whole uterus thing looks neat, but any input would be appreciated.

Since you're not sure which softness will suit you, you could get the Lilith Uterus in soft, and try one of the Lilith Spiral Wave or Dots in very soft.  It's a good way to try it out and you can get both for about $70 right now.  If you end up liking one softness or the other, Tomax has others you can try too.

The Maria is about the same or slightly softer than the "soft" from Tomax, so keep this in mind when making your choice.

Good luck!

I wound up getting the Lillith Uterus in soft and the Venus Real in very soft. I think very soft is a bit too soft for me, but I have to play around with them a bit more. I also got the blue vibrating head stimulator thing and just... oh my god. That thing is one of the greatest marvels of human engineering lol. I'm gonna write a review for it later after my head stops spinning. I'm thinking in a few weeks I'll order the Arkhe in either soft or regular and the black stimulator.

Anyway, thanks a bunch to both you guys for all your advice ^.^
