Problems Heating my Meiki
« on: October 21, 2012, 01:54:34 PM »
Hi Toydemon Members,

i would like to ask if someone has some tips for me how to heat my Meikis properly. I somehow have the problem that the last third inner canal stays cold, although i put my Meiki into warm water for 15+ minutes. The Inner Meiki does not get warm before the water gets cold. So i have to change the "waterbath" after several minutes to get things better. I use a plastic bowl that can fit 15 liters of warm water, generally the water i use is pretty warm. like if you would wash your dishes :)

very best,
Roman

That's pretty much how I've been heating my meiki also, except I use a small bucket. It has been suggested here to microwave a condom full of rice, then insert into meiki to heat up the inside.  I haven't tried that so I couldn't tell you if it works or not.

I have a method that's so cheap and easy you'll punch yourself in the face for not having done it earlier.

http://www.amazon.com/Rival-4071-WN-32-Ounce-Express-White/dp/B00006IUXU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1350925554&sr=8-1&keywords=rival+soup+heater

Use one of these!

Cost like 14 bucks. I got mine from walmart some time ago but I used it to boil water for drinks. I forgot all about it till I found it in my basement.

It gets the job done though, and when I say it will warm your meiki I mean it, it will completely warm your meiki inner and outer.

Whats good about it that it has a temperature adjuster so you can warm your meiki up without destroying it. Just make sure you keep it on the low setting this thing gets hot fast and I mean it will be completely hot in 1-2minutes.  It can fit a Meiki as large as Maria, just don't over fill it and be careful taking it out because the water will be hot and so will the meiki.

Another plus is you don't have to waste water like the other methods of heating do with the "hot water in the sink" routine, or electricity. You can also just let it sit in the hot water till your ready to use it so you don't have to feel rushed to use it immediately in fear that it will go cold. The water in the pot stays "HOT" and I do mean "HOT" and not "warm" for a good while when it's unplugged and off. So you can watch your naughty movies in peace till it comes time to use it.

thx for the replys!

I'm just a bit suprised about the soup heater, doesnt the Meiki get to hot? I don't have much experience with my Meiki yet, but instructions say it shouldnd be heated with water hotter than "regular" temperature. Just hoping it wont destory the soft feeling after several uses.

Well it's pretty simple with the "soup heater". There are low and high settings. when you use it make sure you leave it on the lowest setting and turn it on. It won't get hotter than that temperature. The lowest setting is like tap water hot. It's safe enough to touch with your hand. It gets the meiki hot in no time. just don't turn it up past that because then the water will be too hot and so will your meiki. As long as it's on the lowest setting it's fine. I tested it out with a couple of Meiki's first its safe. Just remember the idea is to heat the Meiki up by leaving it in for a few minutes and not leaving it in to cook. I'll probably make a thread on "how to cook Chinese mushrooms". later on.

Thanks for the tip about the soup heater!

Wish I had seen it before I put in an order for some test tubes w/ cap 20mmx150mm from on the major online retailers.  I figured that if I placed hot water into the test tube and leave it in the meiki for a while, things should get to a decent temp.

Haven't tried it, but it's just a theory.  Will give the soup heater a try if the test tube experiment doesn't work.

No problemo  :D

It works well just make sure to keep it on low and only in there long enough to get the water warm which only takes less than a minute.

onaho.net suggests using usb hand warmer to warm a meiki, which i think really is a neat idea...except that i cannot find this kind of hand warmer on sale here
http://www.onaho.net/warmer.html

on an unrelated note, i'm really thinking to get tampons to dry my meiki toys.

The heated bird perch demondabbler mentioned a while back here

https://www.toydemon.com/td2forum/index.php?topic=1957.0

works fairly well other than it takes a while for the perch to heat up to max temp. When it does, about 15-20 minutes inside the sleeve gives a nice internal temperature throughout.

Sorry to bump this topic, but just wanted to follow-up.  Thanks for the suggestion of using  the Rival kettle.  One time I left my ZXY a bit long in there and a tiny part of it started to melt on the heating element.  Fortunately, it was only on the surface and have since set the temperature a bit lower.  In the past,  I've tried many different items like the Rends Onahole Warmer and others, but wanted more consistent results.  Recently saw that Fleshlight introduced a new warmer, but the reviews haven't been great.

To add to the kettle idea...  I liked the hot water part and hoping there was a way to heat up the inside faster.  Since metal is known for being a conductor of heat, what's one item out there that is metal and could easily fit inside a meiki?  A medical speculum like the one shown below:

Never thought I'd ever buy one of these, but a speculum can be lubed up and easily slide inside the meiki and they're not expensive. Some are only about $11 bucks on amazon.  The combo can then be placed in the kettle's hot water (temp can be down turned low or unplugged for safety) and the resulting meiki temp inside is quite satisfying.  Even though speculums not long enough (4") to reach all the way into most meikis, they can sure pave the entry way very nicely.  The large speculum is about 1.75" wide and slips in there without damaging the delicate insides.

One thing I haven't tried yet with the speculum is to use it to keep the ZXY propped open after cleaning.  In the past, I'd stuff a paper towel in there to soak up the moisture, but might let it air dry one of these days.

I've been doing this for a while now. I just put mine into tupperware filled with hot sink water

wait 10 minutes

take them out, dry it and fill one of the small empty lube tubes I got with my tenga flip hole (any small tube container would work I guess) fill them with hot water

Lube the hole and insert the warm tube. Then take it out when you're ready to go

If you use boiled water with a Fleshlight you will very likely destroy it, the canal in the start will expand, and might also risk burning your dick, lol.
Can the Meiki withstand boiled water for cleaning?
