powder lube ?
« on: March 11, 2016, 01:15:23 PM »
Hi !

I'm new here and in the wonderful world of Meiki and I come with a little question:

Did any of you know about the Cobeco Male Powder Lube ?
Well, I'm from Europe so L'm not even sure if this product is avaible in the US.

This lube look like it might be great with the different type of masturbator (vaginal, anal, oral,...), since you can change thickness depending on how much water you use.

It's composition seems alright too: Fructose, Polyethylene Glycol, Carbomer, Tromethamine.
So it's basically a customisable water based lube if I'm not wrong.

And sorry if my english is a bit messy  :P

Had not heard of this until you mentioned it, but a Google search revealed some posts and opinions about it, mostly favorable. The one advantage is that you can tailor the consistency based on your personal preferences. It is available from Amazon in the US. It is water-based and should be safe with the toys in the ToyDemon store.

I suggest you try it out and write about your experience here in the forum.

In fact, I discovered it by luck on Amazon when searching for new lube. I clicked on it because the words powder and lube made me curious.

I will surely put an order this week  and report it back when I test it,...if my ZXY survive until then since the inner layer started to break at the intrance even thought it hasn't been even a month since I have it  :'(
Fortunatly, it still feel great, but the succion effect seems reduced.
Well...I think I'm at fault for not puting enouth lube during my 1hour session  :-[

I'm curious if this is the same as J-lube, which works really well and goes a long way.

I didn't know about J-lube either so I did some research and it seems to be indeed similar.
However there is some safety concerne about J-lube being a lube for animals??  :o and potentialy dangerous and such... Well, this being said, most of the reviews about it seems quite good, so maybe those are just paranoid concern  :P

The Cobeco powder is orignaly made for anal sex, well that doesn't really matter here, and since it's not as popular as J-lube, there less reviews and info about it.
Maybe it's just the same as J-lube with another label, but some review said they're different in texture so...

The fact is that the two aren't good for real vagina due to sugar component. And since bacteria love sugar, I think that make the cleaning of our toys even more important when using those king of lube.

Anyway, I ordered the Cobeco and see how it feel  8)

Hmm, most safety concerns are either unfounded or based on vastly more quantities than anyone would ever be using.  It's just not FDA approved (unlike your local Hamburger with extra fries and large soda, which we know is really healthy ... ).  Yes there are unanswered questions, although if worried we should also avoid things like shampoo and conditioner.  The main trouble with J-lube is that it is sugar-based with no preservatives, so there's no good way of keeping a manufactured batch around for weeks (unless preservative is added to the mix, or it's kept frozen).  Messing about with powder can spoil spontaneity.  Also, beware of spilling any powder onto the floor in the bathroom, just add a little water and it's dangerously slippery.
