Meiki ZXY - First Time Onahole Review

This ended up being a bit long and rambling, so you might just want to skip to halfway through to get onto the review.
While the ZXY has been reviewed plenty of times on here, I figured I would add mine to the heap, and offer the perspective of a relatively new user of sleeves (started recently with the Fleshlight), and a first time Onahole/Meiki user and maybe help other first timers make a decision on their first sleeve. While I frequently take advantage of online product reviews, I rarely bother to write them myself, but I was compelled to in the case of the ZXY. To be honest, this ended up being more of a comparison between the Fleshlight (which I started with) and the ZXY.
I had always been interested in the idea of buying a sleeve, but I lived with my parents for a good while, and didn't want to deal with the hassle of use, clean-up, and concealment while living with them. Later on, I was having my needs steadily met by girlfriends, and didn't see the need to bother with purchasing a sleeve.
I've now moved to a smaller city with an even proportionally smaller pool of single women and a with conservative bent, which frankly makes it tough to get laid regularly. After having a couple good years of having my needs met regularly by women, going back my hand exclusively just wasn't cutting it, and I was needing something better. Another thing that bothered me, is that I found that by going back to my hand exclusively, I was getting accustomed to getting off with far less stimulation, and the rare few times I did get laid, I disappointingly (and usually embarrassingly) wasn't lasting near as long as I was previously when I had gotten accustomed to the high amount of stimulation of a vagina (and with sex in general). I had worked up to being able to last a reasonable amount of time with a woman, and felt like I was now slipping backwards.
I ended up going with the Fleshlight at first due it's ubiquity (I figured it had to be the best to have such a high market share), and the amount of rave reviews and information on the product online - I felt like it was the sure thing to get me the "as close to the real thing as possible" experience I was looking for, based on what the reviews were largely telling me.
In hindsight, I feel the above is more a product of Fleshlight's successful marketing and large marketing budget (at least compared to the rest of the segment), and not due to the quality of the product. I suspect that the large amount of positive reviews are due to an essentially captive market in North America resulting from successful and overwhelming marketing by Fleshlight (people don't realize there are alternatives, and don't have anything else to compare it to), and frankly I also feel a fair number of the reviewers and sites reviewing the Fleshlight positively are likely either paid affiliates, or controlled by Fleshlight directly. I had actually stumbled upon Toydemon and the Meikis in my initial search for a sleeve, and thought they were interesting, but regretfully didn't dig deeper into them, since again, I thought the Fleshlight had to be the way to go due to market share and the overwhelming presence online. The Meiki seemed obscure in comparison.
I started out with the Fleshlight Lotus and Destroya, choosing them since the Lotus was touted as being closest to the real thing, and the Destroya as the most stimulating in the line-up. I was pretty excited when they arrived, and while they were pleasant and a step up from Palmela, overall the experience was underwhelming, and they certainly didn't live up to the huge hype and promises of mind blowing stimulation and realism from of a lot of the reviews online. I found due to the softness of the material, they weren't really able to provide much of a "firm grip" around my member like the real thing, and while the internal details in the Destroya looked amazing, they were very difficult to feel and didn't provide much stimulation. The Lotus was supposed to be most lifelike, but it just had plain, untextured walls which didn't give much sensation (nothing like a real vagina), and while the node could be pleasant, there was nothing lifelike about it. While I'm definitely not huge, I'm not small either, and the Fleshlights felt a little bit like throwing a hot dog down a hallway.
Hoping for better, I ordered the Fleshlight Gauntlet and Texas Tornado, which were both also highly rated. The Tornado was a huge disappointment, didn't feel much like anything, and went unused after a few tries. The Gauntlet ended up being slightly better than the Lotus and Destroya in my opinion, but it still suffered from the drawbacks I described above, which I think are structural to Fleshlights. Overall, a disappointing experience with the Fleshlight.
On to the ZXY:
After the above experiences with Fleshlights, I found myself looking for better, and again came to find the Meiki, and thanks to the reviews here, figured I'd give the ZXY a try. After my Fleshlight experience, I was more inclined to take reviews of the Meiki with a grain of salt, but all indications were the ZXY would provide me with a better experience. So, I ordered one from Toydemon, and it arrived as promised with two day shipping, and with much anticipation on my part.
First impression was the ZXY was bulkier and heavier than I expected (which I've found has pros and cons, making it hard to handle in some situations, but also helping it stay in place in others, but overall is not an issue), the construction of lips and entrance are great, being more "three-dimensional" than the Fleshlight due to the layered construction, which I've found helps hold the lube in better (avoids a big mess), and overall feels better when entering.
So, with near the anticipation of having sex with a new partner (haha), I was ready to get it on with my ZXY. I applied a drop of lube about the diameter of a quarter at the entrance using the 200ml bottle of ZXY lotion I had ordered with the sleeve, I slid the ZXY down on myself, and my first reaction was to exclaim "wow" out loud. This was it! Sliding into it from the first entrance, past the g-spot, and in deeper, was amazing, and as close to the real thing as I imagine any toy can presently get. In many ways it could never replicate a real vagina, especially the feeling of the vaginal muscles gripping and yielding to you (but the ZXY still had a good grip), but was pretty damn close, and at some points better.
It can take a little bit to find the sweet spot with the ZXY (but never does it not feel great), but when I have found the right combination of angle and lubrication, sensation wise it can be 90% that of the real thing (and in cases better). As with the Fleshlight, I found moving it up and down manually on myself to be less pleasurable (but still good with the Meiki) than setting it up to use hands free to simulate sex (but which can be more challenging to get right). One drawback with the Meiki is that without a rigid case like the Fleshlight, I found it a little harder to handle and a bit floppy at times, with the Fleshlight the case made it easy to grip and manipulate, and to shove under the mattress or hold in place an hump (the only way I found I really got much stimulation out of the Fleshlight). With the Meiki, I've found placing it between two cushions, with only a sleight amount of weight on top to hold it in place works great, and as mentioned, once the sweet spot is found, it's heavenly. I think though, that making the Meiki compatible with a case, but still usable without would really give the best of both worlds.
For some general thoughts, I was skeptical of the closed nature of the Meiki, since I found that the Fleshlight either produced an annoying/un-pleasurable amount of suction when air was expelled and the end cap was closed fully, or was equally annoying to use with trapped air and the end cap closed. I was worried the Meiki would produce the same effect, but it was absolutely a non-issue with the Meiki, I'm guessing the difference might be due to the rigid nature of the Fleshlight case creating the vacuum versus the flexibility of the uncased Meiki.
I thought cleaning the closed Meiki would be far more challenging than the open-ended Fleshlight, but it's only marginally more so. I will fill it with water from the tap, inflating it every so slightly, and let the water rush out and flush it, reach in with my fingers and remove the lube left in there, rinse it again with water, and after about five cycles of this, I'm able to clean the toy completely. I'll then fill it with rubbing alcohol (using my fingers to help get it to the back reaches) to keep things sterile. I might let it dry for a while naturally after it's been filled with rubbing alcohol (I don't know if it will every really dry completely this way), but usually will go in with a paper towel wrapped around my finger to absorb any of the rubbing alcohol left in there before using it again.
I was skeptical about the ZXY lotion at first, finding it to be very odd due to its very thick and "solid" gel consistency and stringiness, and thought it would be too thick to lubricate things properly. Also, due to the consistency, it was a little tough to get it out of the 200ml bottle which has an applicator tip to help, and I couldn't imagine trying to scoop it out of the small bottle with no applicator that comes packaged with the toy. However, I can say I definitely prefer it over thinner "conventional" lubes, it works perfectly with the sleeve and feels remarkable, and the biggest thing is it stays put and doesn't run all over the place like thinner lubes. I found the thinner lubes could make a terrible mess, leaking and dripping out the front and the back of the Fleshlight (the lip design of the ZXY also seems to help keep the lube in place), and all over the floor/bed and myself. I have found that the ZXY lotion that I do get on myself can be a challenge to clean off however.
Overall, while the Meiki may seem a little pricey up front, I ended up spending more money trying to find a Fleshlight sleeve that would give me the level of pleasure and sensation I wanted (and ended up pretty disappointed) before finally finding it with the ZXY. The Fleshlight was a good "training" device to allow me to get used to sleeves and jump right into the ZXY and enjoy it right away, but I obviously wish I hadn't spent the money on Fleshlights and gotten a Meiki right of the bat. I'm pretty sure I won't be bothering with my Fleshlights again, and I am tempted to just get rid of them completely.
Since variety is the spice of life, I'll definitely be ordering more Meikis soon.
