ZXY Peeling???
« on: January 09, 2014, 06:27:47 PM »
So, got my ZXY a little over a week ago... absolutely love it. I noticed after I cleaned it after my last "session" that there was some peeling on the exterior and little rubber balls appearing on the surface??? Is this normal? I've used nothing but ZXY lube and have only used warm water to clean the exterior and interior.

Welcome to the forum carnut!

I think you need to start using powder on your ZXY.  This will help the outer skin of your meiki to remain smooth and not tacky.  This should prevent the little rubber balls from forming on the surface.

You will also find that the meiki "skin" will feel much more pleasant and realistic to the touch when properly powdered.  Just wash as you would normally after use, but powder before storing it.

I hope this helps.

I do some baby powder patting on my toys when it's dry, this will help with less tackyness and less friction against whatever material bag you're storing your toys with. maybe that'll help with less rubber ball or powder ball roll ups. =)

That Meiki Plush really tied the room together.

Normal. As suggested, powdering will help a good deal. Also, don't soak clean. Just run water through the channel and pat dry with a lint free cloth and you're good.

Powder as needed but only when dry, of course.

Can can't powder too much, right? The past couple of uses I have rinsed and then powered the outside every time after use. The "rollies" have completely disappeared!

Also, I have seen cornstarch can be used?

Yes, the powder works wonders. A good idea is to also clean the exterior with soapy water if you get a lot of lint and other debris on the exterior as that will get rid of it and then you can slap on the powder.

Yes, corn starch can be used.
