Just found out about the A10 Piston and there is so much to it that I'm confused
« on: September 05, 2013, 11:00:50 PM »
So I have a lot of questions, and I see that ToyDemon is out of stock, so I might order from Kanojo Toys but I'll wait a bit to see if ToyDemon gets it back.

Can someone just tell me if you can disassemble the piston into different parts(Like when you disassemble a pen)so that it doesn't look like a masturbator and just hide it in different parts of your room so no one will ever find what it's for?

Also will it be good for me considering I'm only 4 inch in length and 4.5 inch in girth?

Someone also explain to me why there's so many parts I have to order separately... :(

Sorry, just so confused but the hype about this product is huge and it's a BIG investment so I'd like to know everything...

I'd would recommend meiki maria ozawa but from the sound of it, you might need something that's durable so in that case I'd suggest Julia+ for your size.  :D

yes you can take it apart like a pen. i had to take it apart today as the inner tube somehow got stuck and would not disengage. see photo. but i wouldn't recommend doing it every time.

the tube is pretty long. and if you are not that long it might not be a good fit as the front "lip" part does not move and the whole thing stretches and thus the deeper you can penetrate, the more stimulation you can get from this toy.

with that said, i would not recommend this if it is a big investment for you. i think you will be disappointed and the stimulation you get from this bulky, mechanical toy is probably not worth the expensive price tag, as you need to get both the R-1 controller and this attachment, and you need disposable tubes (though if you are careful you can probably re-use the same one over and over again, as it is easier to clean and dry than a full size meiki, though it is much deeper and you'll need tools to clean and dry it).

my suggest would be to get a Meiki mini. it offers good sensation, and does not require deep penetration (at all!), it is very easy to conceal, and it is a breeze to clean and dry. better than toys around the same price point.

@Kline  It's a great and very interesting pic you gave us. Some of us always want to see the inside.  ;D
Maybe you can clear up mystery question for me. There is the hard tube that creates the action, like a piston? It moves on the sleeve, yes? Does the tube make the sleeve move? Or it moves on outside of the sleeve? What causes the wear?
Or do I have it wrong completely?

[I put another post in the other A10 thread. Maybe Mod can decide if 2 diff threads is + or - ?]

yes, it works just like a piston. as you can see from the photo, the motor rotates the arm (the one with a white plastic ring) and that causes the hard tube to go through basically the piston motion. the inner tube (the disposable one with padding and a soft silicon sleeve inside) is gently "screwed" onto the hard tube, and so it moves with the hard tube. the front lip of the inner tube is fixed to the front opening of the piston (there is a lock that allows you to secure it to the opening), and so the inner sleeve basically stretches as the tube moves.

i haven't tried to use it without locking the "lip". it might make a mess. i don't know. maybe i'll try it. the motor is pretty weak and sometimes if you press it against your body too hard it will get stuck in certain motion patterns at least at low settings. it might be intentional for safety concern (to prevent turning someone's member into spaghetti if the user was not careful) but i wished it could be stronger.

what wear are you referring to? there are many places that will wear down over time. the "ball bearings" are made of aluminium i think, and the parts securing the bearings with the piston body, as well as the contact surface between the hard tube and the motor arm might go first i'd think. or maybe the motor will simply die off before that.

it makes a mechanical, robot-like sound when it is in action (think R2-D2 in star wars). not sure if i like that lol

@Kline - Props for xclnt info not available anywhere else afaik. ;)
The wear I meant was of the soft sleeve, already flagged as an iss. Also helps in understanding how it works.

I was thinking friction/abrasion on outer surface of soft sleeve, if inner tube is moving on it. But I read you to say that's not happening. Inside of inner sleeve, of course, "your mileage may vary", size, speed, lube, etc.
But you also say sleeve gets stretched. If it is flexing, then #1 back end of tubes must cause this, otherwise tube(s) just slide over sleeve, no? #2 most onatoy sleeves will not work or last because they are not made for continuing stress of stretch-compress.

Too loud, I think right away of sound blanket wrap. But then there's heat . . .

sorry for late reply. getting a bit bogged down in life recently. i believe the inner sleeve is flexing and because of this you probably won't be able to substitute with a regular onahole unless you want to change how it works. i am not 100% sure about this and was meant to try it without locking the sleeve in-place and then reply to you but still haven't got the chance to. anyway this is the structure of the disposable inner tube, taken from the packaging. the lip is locked in place, and the rest moves with the tube.

what is an iss?

My turn to be sorry for late reply  :-[. "BDIL", a very common problem  :(.  Iss = issue, because Rends already upfront inner sleeve may need to be replaced.

Since earlier posts there are now 4 reviews, another in the forum, lots of different takes.
How do some people say it is way underpowered, motor too weak, others have no such complaint?  ???
I can think of some reasons but maybe have to try for myself. You did not have problem with power?

i do wish the motor could be stronger. the motor tends to get stuck in low (i.e., slow) power settings in certain variations or if it is pressed too closely against the body.

i think making the inner sleeve disposable is more for sanitary reason than anything. i am still weary about those close-end type toys (such as the full size meikis) as they are very difficult to clean and dry properly. i find myself using the tenga eggs and tenga flip air more and more often because they are incredibly easy to set up and clean and dry.
