They are the same things.. but I think there's no English name for these toys in Japan. the direct word pronunciation for this product from the Japanese name is Meiki, not sure how they came up with Utensil-race over in europe.. but every time i hear about Utensil-Race..im thinking about forks and knifes racing around the dinner table

Yeah it is a funny name though, first time i heard about utensil race first thing came to my mind was, a fork with a 420 big block under the hood.
