Hello.

I was just wondering, how come your free shipping method switched from FedEx Home Delivery to FedEx Ground Delivery?

I was expecting and hoping that my package will arrive today which is Saturday, but that is only available through FedEx Home Delivery and not FedEx Ground Delivery, so I have to wait until Monday for my package to come even though it's in the same town. When I made a purchase last year, I remember it being delivered through FedEx Home Delivery service instead of FedEx Ground Delivery.

Is there a reason why it switched?

Free Shipping does not have any specific method tied to it. It can be shipped with USPS or FedEx. The shipping system automatically decides on the method based on a formula and the formula is periodically updated. We believe that within the FedEx System, Home delivery is a sub-branch of Grounds and final delivery is by the FedEx Grounds department even tho the delivery rules are different. It is likely the last update took away the differentiation between the two within the system.
