My Brand new Maria Ozawa has a small hole at the top center.  The hole is circular and almost forms a complete circle by about 80%.  It also barely penetrates to the center canal but the hole is large enough for lube to leak out.  The meiki box was unopened and the seal was intact.

I have read stories about this, but people tend to think customs was responsible.  If a package was opened by customs, it would be easy to spot.  The US post shipping box was not opened by customs.

It appears that a disgruntled assembly line worker at Meiki is responsible for making this hole.

The Maria Ozawa canal is not straight and curves to the left.  But that is more of a Quality Control problem.

I've heard about this but never seen it and was thinking about ordering one (or maybe try the real version hee hee).

  That doesn't look good, I heard some people saying that one of the side walls in the mold was too thin and that's what causes it. That def looks like a QC issue unless your Edward scissorjohnson I think that be kinda hard to pull off by user error.

Doesn't TD replace damaged products?? I know their just a distributor but it still would suck if you pay 100$ for a product that arrives broken

technically I wouldn't say it's a broken toy... .. i've fixed my meiki's that had minor rip at the entrance with a solder iron.. it just melts the silicone a little bit but it fixes the toy.. might not be the best looking but hey...as long it feels the same it dotn matter to me.

Ill use my old fleshlight for spare sylicon to fix my new Meiki lol  But then it'll be a new Frankenstein FL/Meiki hybrid and it may commit suicide

Mine has that hole too, but not as obvious as yours. I remember this was asked before and it seemed that every Maria Meiki has a hole similar to that.

   and then she will tell you that hole on the side of the toy is there on purpose...it represent her belly button lol

The hole is not the same as the "WEAK" spot at the right bottom.
I have patched the hole using a soldering iron.
Blow air into the canal to inflate the "weak" spot.
See Pics, The patch is at the left and the "weak" spot is near the end.
Both defects are on the right side of the Maria toy.
The only way to fix Maria is to make it thicker, but it will require more material, so it is unlikely Meiki will upgrade it.

Cons
Extreme downward sloping canal.  The end of the slope is so thin it feels like it will break through.
The stimulation is very lopsided, 99% stimulation at the top, 1% at the bottom
The bottom is too thin, you can easily feel your dick going through which breaks the hand/dick barrier.
Extremely soft.  So soft it cannot support its own weight.
The canal is actually tight, but because it is so soft, it does not offer much resistance and feels loose.

Pros
Extremely soft, but it feels realistic because it does not feel rubbery.
More durable than the dual layer models because it is softer and stretches more easily.

Unless the toy is completely unuseable, it is not worth the hassle of returning it.  Toydemon should just give a credit discount or something.  It is more efficient to just solder it.  These toys are not designed to last long.  After using it 10 times, the front clit started to tear.  Just melt it back in place.  Under normal use, it will always tear and require periodic soldering during its lifetime of use.

It seems this problem exists in a lot of Marias... Does it happen with ZXY? Cannot find any similar problems with ZXY on forums here.

The maria canal is slanted.  This means that one side of the wall will be very thick, and the opposite side will be very thin.  Maria is especially susceptible to having a weak spot because it has a smaller outer diameter than most, and does not have enough material to properly surround the canal.  The newer generation of Meiki Dual Layer toys are much thicker and stiffer, so it has better protection against breaking through.

If you do not want a toy with a weak spot, the canal must be straight to ensure there is even thickness all around.
The YJY has a straight canal and does not have a weak spot like maria.
