I've only had my ZXY a few weeks, and so far I've had no breakdown of the inner layer. However, like anything else that gets used, I expect it to last a finite number of hours. It would be nice to get 40-80 uses, which translates to about $1-2/trip. However, I'm not really sure how durable it will be, and I plan to replace it like worn tires on a car with the same model or a newer toy. One of the things I do to extend the life of my ZXY is to not turn it inside out or to use harsh cleaners on it. I also don't use it exclusely by rotating my toys around, eventhough the ZXY is my favorite at the moment. As for the Maria it will probably outlast most dual layer toys by quite a bit.

Mine is now exactly a year old, and has held up well.  Sometimes I used it several times a week....sometimes I went weeks without touching it.    So I think the durability is quite good, although I do plan on replacing it sometime soon.  I'm sure there's some wear on it;  there's a slight tear on one of the lips and the inner layer is probably worn away quite a bit, but it's hard to tell.  None of that matters to me because its my favorite toy and I've easily gotten my money's worth from it.

I own and use a ZXY 1-3 times a day (about 100 uses so far).  As long as you use water-based lubricant, use the product as directed, and never heat it above body temperature (warm it well in advance with warm water) it doesn't seem to degrade.  Minor tearing at the opening is all that's really happened.  That's something like 33 cents per use for a product that has consistent quality over time.

It's nice to hear that you've gotten 100 uses on your ZXY already PERSONUSERONFORUM.  By the way, I'm glad that you brought up the point that you only wash your toys in body temperature warm water.  I use to use pretty hot water straight from the tap, but lately I've really turned the temperature down to luke warm water only because I've been thinking that the higher temperatures could shorten the lifespan of my toys.

boldav49 - that's very correct.  The Meiki product that I purchased (ZXY) actually did come with basic directions that stated to only use warm body temperature level water on it.  I fudge a bit and the temperature is as high as 115-120, but that's it.  Really hot water destroyed one of the toys I purchased a few years ago (a fleshlight, which wasn't half bad in quality but the meikis are better).
