No LA Noire for PC!
« on: May 20, 2011, 08:39:32 PM »
Well I guess I won't be buying LA Noire, because they're not releasing it for PC.

Fuck Rockstar, I guess their programmers are too stupid and lazy to properly optimize a game for PC, from what I've read about GTA IV.

That's lame. I played it for a bit at my friend's house the other day, shame it was pretty damn good. I was planning on picking it up when it came out for PC guess that's not happening now.

Yeah, it really pisses me off. More and more developers these days are catering to the console kiddies and shitting on PC gamers. I almost thought Ubisoft was doing the same thing with Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, but thankfully they just delayed its release so they could polish it up, and from what I've read it blows the console version out of the water. So I'll just buy it instead.

But it's probably a good thing that Rockstar didn't release LA Noire for PC, after their half-assed job of porting GTA IV.

They can't say piracy is their excuse for not releasing on PC, because you can pirate games on consoles just as easily as you can on PC. I just think it comes down to laziness, they don't want to program for all the different types of hardware that's on PC, so instead they program for consoles whose hardware is unchanging. Their shitty port of GTA IV is proof of this.

Really? That kinda sux!

I have a more than able laptop and I wouldn't mind giving this game a try.

Though I never really get into GTA type games. It's fun at first, then I lose interest cuz I never stay on mission to advance the story and then I get bored of it.

I might just give it a try on the PS3 once it's a little cheaper.

Allow me to set the record straight now and say that Rockstar is NOT the developer of the game, rather they are the publisher and provider for the necessary technology for the development. Team Bondi is the developer of LA Noire whereas GTA is solely developed by Rockstar (and whatever child company during that time).

I don't get why so many assume the publisher is the actual developer, like if CoD ever sucked, they'd blame Activision when really we should be throwing those torches at Infinity Ward and/or Treyarch.
