They're saying this Japan's worst disaster since WW2.

The USS Ronald Reagan aircraft carrier has arrived after finishing war games with South Korea, and they've begun air lifting food supplies.

If anyone wants to help with the relief effort in Japan, you can check the following institutions:

Red Cross - redcross.org (accepting $10 donations via text messages)

Salvation Army - salvationarmyusa.org (also accepting $10 donations via text messages)

International Medical Corps - internationalmedicalcorps.org (They are sending physicians and medical supplies)

I need to look into this, you ever used Red Cross to donate money to them? How does this work
via text message?

If you have a Paypal account you can donate through them to the Red Cross and other charities.

Yes, we should all do what we can to help Japan. It really saddens me to see all those videos and pictures. And to think a country as technologically advanced as Japan, still can't fight against mother nature.......

Basically, the phone company charges you  the money, then they forward the money to the Red Cross. I prefer donating directly using their website.

That is one of our first thoughts after confirming everyone we know is safe. As Japan continues to deal with problems stemming from the quake, we feel that we should not market the event in anyway. Donations either as ToyDemon or by the team members personally will be done in a non-public manner.

As a reminder please make sure your donations are to established charities like American Red Cross or Doctors Without Borders

If any one here has a PlayStation 3, Sony is having a donation drive through the PlayStation Store called Aid Japan. All the proceeds go to the American Red Cross and you get a background theme for the PS3 XMB.
